It is around the year 1940, in an alternate past, war as we know it has been abolished, instead governments settle their differences in a more, humane, way.
Fighting between countries is now limited to some pre-set areas.
These countries have their armies fight each other in these areas, no more lives of citizens will be put at risk. You, are a mercenary, each time you enter the battlefield you will be put on the side of whichever country has the least men in the area.
Although this is a different past, and the face of war is different from how we know it now, the weapons are the same kind that were used back in the 1940 as we know it.
Server Set-up
There will be different kinds of these areas, also known as Warzones, in each there will be a different objective.
Annihilation:
2-4 teams will face off against each other, whoever remains standing at the end of the round wins.
Take that flag:
Normal capture the flag, 2 teams.
Take that base:
Both teams will try and capture the base, the team that will manage to stay inside the base for a certain amount of time,(times you stay in the base add up, see it as a counter),will win.
Assault:
Speaks for itself I assume, 1 attacking team, 1 defending, the goal is to capture a base in a certain amount of time, or lives, if you do not succeed the defenders win.
Ranking
There will be a ranking system, the higher your rank becomes the better your weapons will get,(not huge differences, beginners must still have a chance), this is also why it is based on how much points you get, and not on your skill, because we don’t want to unbalance the game even more by giving better players better weapons.
Skill level
Separate from the ranking system there will also be a skill level system.
This doesn’t do an awful lot, but will be a calculation involving k/d ratio, accuracy, and objective points. So it will not only show how much people you kill compared to being killed, but it is meant to also show your tactical insight, and being able to complete objectives.
Weapons
You will have 1 primary weapon, and 1 secondary weapon, primary weapons cannot be put in the secondary weapon slot. You will also have grenades, and improvements for your weapon,(higher accuracy, grenade launcher? bayonet?) maybe a knife, although in 3rd person it is hard to sneak up from behind on someone. Planting explosives maybe.
You will be able to swap your weapons with those that you find off of your friends or enemies bodies.
Vehicles
In the bigger maps there will be vehicles, trucks, quads, maybe tanks, maybe helis, this will depend on if we will be able to balance it and stuff.
Special abilities
Separate from your weapons you can choose 1 special ability, sticky bombs, rocket launcher/rpg. These will help you complete certain objectives, destroy a heli, blow up doors. This will make you require team play, because everyone will need to have a different special ability.
