So I'm working on an overworld...

For fun -- just to pass time.

There's not much done right now, but it's getting there slowly. As you can see, I'm adding on as I go... I ended up sketching up a rough outline as to what I'm doing so I at least have some direction. I didn't generate first or anything.

I'll post updates as I get there

It's coming along slowly but surely

BTW, it is an odd layout... but I thought it'd be cool to try something a little different than the usual bulky, 'round' overworlds.

m + level editor?

If you don't mean that... I generated a blank(all water) gmap, then started filling it in. Very early on I found myself having no idea where to take it so I opened the map image in paint and scribbled a rough outline to follow. Because I already started the northern area with the beach, I followed that direction(which formed the crescent shape). It was completely random on my part.

Yes, I meant the large map image. I wasn't sure if you had a different way of generating them.
