That way Graal would get more content to use and rake in more players (and of course $$), and would-be developers, designers, and others would get more out of their experience and be willing to carry on with Graal.

Win win
The problem with current made servers is always that it will be problematic when it comes to shares...staff will complain or w/e whoever worked on something will come up "i made this, i deserve that" blabla

If you set up a deal when starting a server, then it might work out

It would be nice if a portion of the sale proceeds could be used to keep the server going. That is, if enough funding is raised, the owner's developer status would be renewed.

Simple post is simply not relevant.

If they were actually going to pay they could just send it over Paypal to the Manager's Paypal account who will then be in charge of delegating the actual cash to the staff.

I could see that not working out very quickly when the Manager decides his staff don't deserve much of a cut (or any).

If a system is worked out that can fairly pay developers (at least of classic/gold servers) they definitely should be. It's ridiculous to, in most cases, have to pay to make the content of this game for them.

So you're pretty much saying we should be able to start playerworlds for free?

No? I'm giving more reason to pay successful servers.

He wouldn't pay people real money, gelats should be fine for you, you can figure a way to trade them or use them in the future, not like they disappear.
It's not like hes gonna bother sending checks to foreign countrys or paypal-ing everyone individually. If I was a developer I'd be happy to just receive the gelats. Many people like to develop for free, anyways. its fun. plus gelats would be a lot easier to split up between the staff.

I think an affiliate scheme whereby 5-10% is given would be good. However, you then get the issue that who exactly gets the money. The manager? The developer? What if there are multiple developers? how can we tell who did what?

In principle, it's a good idea. How to distribute the funds/rewards would be harder.

I too agree with that. Initially developers solely chose to get servers not to make money, but to attempt to create a successful server for not just them, but other players to enjoy as well.

Not every developer likes to live with limitations and an unprofessional team

Graalonline is one of the few games out there, where players design the games witch the owner makes all the money. Doesn't seem to fair now does it? I think Managers getting paid for their work would be great. It would definetly attract alot of new servers, and actually give them motivation.

I think it would be cool if managers could kinda bribe devs into actually focusing on certain projects. To many times we hear about devs doing multiple things at once and then never completing any of them. I think it would be cool if there was a system where say the manager had a bulletin and would post things that needed to be done and how much gelats the project is worth. Say a sever wants a dev to make a fishing script. The manager would post the information and then when the scripter completes the script, he is rewarded the gelats. Whether it's manually from the manager, or if there was a "Complete" button on the bulletin that auto transferred it.
