I wonder how people thought of this. Maybe someone was bored and decided to see if they can set the alpha of of the tile layers. Who was the first to find this "bug"?

It's not a bug The alpha value is for making upper tile layers transparent (tile layer support is not finished yet). You can also change red/green/blue, or x/y for moving the ground without moving objects. For gmaps may be you can use player.gmap.tilelayers

Hmm..
When I change the x or y of it, I'm not blocked by any tiles.
Is that normal?

I thought you saw that on Era before? Andy added gas shells/tear gas npcs that did that very same thing months ago.

Normally it is only changing the display of the tiles, the blocking behaviour should stay the same
