Well not much to see atm but this is what ive been working on.Im gonna try to go for the cartoon-like design that graal was orginaly designed for.

Okay, since this is actually good, and fairly original, I'll help out by pointing out the things I think would make it better:

FRONT VIEW:
1) the front view looks pretty good, but the eyes kinda look crossed, like the pupils are too close together
2) the jacket edges are shaped weird... why aren't they more straight, unless he pulls the bottoms of his jacket behind his back

3) the arms could proably be in a bit more, the seem to kinda look like they are detached from the body.

BACK VIEW:
1) It looks like an enormous amount of sweat has built up in the middle of his back... fix the shading! lol
2) again, the arms seem detached from the body, and from a back view like that, you really wouldn't see the arms as much, they'd be more in front of the body

SIDE VIEW:
1) The head is weirdly shaped, that's really the only way I can say it
2) the head is also not in the same direction as the body, while you have the body showing half of the back leg and the back hand, the head is turned totally sideways. There should be two eyes shown on the head if it's at that angle, and again, the pupil just seems weird.
3) the nose has to go, or you need to change it a little, because it's just weird and makes the entire image look amateur

Just one comment about the hair, it seems a little glued to his head. So unless that is like, incredibly short hair, you should probably make the hair stand out more, heh. People have a tendancy to glue the hair to the head, barely giving it any volume or height, which of course, makes it look bad.

That's a pretty tight template ya got going. Hope ya got a cartoon-ish feel to the tileset as well.

Actually I prefer the side views, I like the style. If you kill the nose of the side views then it wouldnt look the same

I'd say fix up and down.

But yes you should show both eyes. Like this:

o_O I didnt even think it was that great lol, I just showed it because I dont have many gfx made using that angle.

Ya I took the first body and started from there.Thats why it looks wide or whatever.Btw thanks for the crits and all im using some of the tips and I think it will turn out pretty good.Might go to a server called voodoo online if I can get ahold of the owner,dannyisnow.Also im working on a tileset to match the body but im really putting off walking and running sprites because I hate animating sprites.

Oh yea I also wanted to say that the original design of Graal was basically taken from Zelda, infact it was. Graal used to be called Zelda Online lol.

You talk like Graal was made from scratch.

Make it on Oasis where you start sweating after you walk for a while, and when you go to sit down it dries up, or you take a shower and change clothes.
