I may have misunderstood this but here goes....

One of the "benefits" of VIP membership is for the VIP member to give YOU (Graal) ideas.
Why does that strike me as not right?
Anybody with half a brain can tell thats not a benefit.
Giving you ideas is helping you, so why is it a benefit to us that we have to pay to give you ideas?

Anybody who likes this is obviously not too clever.

What is really happening here is that this is a fancy way of saying the price has gone up.
Before somebody starts going on about it being optional then let me says this:
Correct. It is "optional". However, by not paying for this "optional" membership you are losing features.
Therefore you are getting less for your money and so once more, what I said is true: "this is a fancy way of saying the price has gone up."

I have to say your about as wrong as you can be. This will effect no one. If you already have classic account then it doesn't hurt you at all. In fact it will help you so you can pay only 20 dollars to make guilds and play on gold server saturdays only for 1 year. If you have gold then when you buy it you get to access the special forums, get information about things before anyone else, beta test Graal3D, and get the 3D development tools.

So no options or features are taken from anyone. And VIP is totaly 'optional'.

Either almost all of you aren't quite clever enough to comprehend this or you just like complaining about things. If it is either of those then I feel sorry for you.

Gold Access has not changed.
Classic Access has not changed.
If you have Gold Access, you practically already have VIP Access - the only difference is VIPs get to see stuff first, like G3D.
If you have Classic Access, VIP Access is a cheaper form of Gold Access - you only get to play weekends.

IMHO, Platinum Access should be created. Five bucks a year more than Gold Access, it merges VIP and Gold. Five buck upgrade for Gold users, but I don't run this dog and pony show.

VIP primarily exists for Registered (Classic) but not Upgraded (Gold) players.

And curious and impatient people like me.

I have to have all the news first. I know patience is a virtue. But it is one virtue I don't have .

I couldn't agree more But I also liked Loriel's idea about modular options.

Ok a cave man could understand this
Your playerworld attracts people to graal. Thered be a ratio of how many people play your server. People pay 15 dollers to subscribe because they want to keep their stats on your playerworld. The more people that play on your server creates virtual money and if you dont get up to your monthly virual money your server would probbialy be taken off the playerlist for improments so playerworld owners work more on their server to attract more people instead of lounging around PS: Your server would keep a ratio of about 50 cents per hour 1 person plays.

How much will it cost to:
A- Get a server online (fee)
B- Maintain a server monthly

Also, could we get setbacks if we advertise Graal on other websites?

I was talking about the price. Unixmad hasn't posted the exact price for PW renting.

Questa: I can't get the setup.exe to work to get the new version. It keeps crashing.

Rushino: There has been about 100 posts about this already. No one knows for sure. But I am sure unixmad will tell us soon.

Yeah same here... I just noticed the version change on the main page. And the setup.exe almost worked for me once

This VIP thing is pretty good. I run a linux computer and if getting a VIP account gets me the release quicker im all for it. And for server renting, who hosts the server ?
