Trial Account / IP Address

It would be nice if Trial Accounts retained the 'Last IP' portion of their playerworld data...

A majority of people aren't allowed or can't afford a P2P account, so getting rid of trial accounts would be a bad move.

Yes, they're abused. But just because some people abuse the privilege doesn't mean the other people who use them correctly should suffer.

Exactly, trial accounts are half the population of graal, and lately i have been advertising and stuff, trying to get more members, mainly gold.

Trial accounts should have a time limit on them for how long they can be used. People just use em' so they dont have to pay. If trial accounts are half the population, then GO needs to open it's market and attract by putting adverts in gaming magazines.

Atleast make it so trial accounts can only be used for a limited time then your IP cannot register another trial account period, thus making it so people dont abuse that.

Kinda funny hearing this from a person who admitted to sharing accounts.

Anyway, I think they should give a full access pass for like a week or something instead of the current system.

Incorrect. If the person (or who ever holds ownership of the PC and/or ISP connection) can afford both a computer and an ISP connection then there is no excuse for why they don't pay. Its thier choice and that is the consequences thereof. To say that they can't afford it is a blatant lie. Not being allowed is a different case, but that is thier problem, not Graal Online's.

Why should GO be penalized just because Mr. Newbie's parents won't pay for the upgrade or that he won't pay for it on his own? GO does not own your money except that which you pay to them for the upgrade(s), so they are in no way obligated to treat all players the same. It isn't right to give equal parts to those who pay and those who don't/won't. It makes spending that money for those benefits a waste since you could've gotten them free.

Thats how all businesses work. If you really want it you'll pay for it, otherwise, you'll have to deal without. Graal isn't based on Socialistic ideals. What incentive would there be if, for example, all the playerworlds had to follow a very strict ruleset that limited all forms of creativity or originality with the exception of the company servers? Everything other than GK, Graal2001, and Classic would be boring and bland.

...I think I've gone a bit off topic :x

I think the trial accounts should only work for 30 days, this is time enough for them to make up their mind if they want to pay or not. Then they should be blocked so they cannot make another account. Do the accounts like trial software 30 up it doesn't work nor can you use it till you buy it. Graal does have the means to put files in the registery(by way of the graal.exe and the setup of Graal) of someone comps that will block the account till the account is paid for by use of an unlock key code over the 30 day trial period. This I think would be the best way to address trial accounts. It also can do a snapshop of someones comp so the account cannot be used by anyone other that person on that comp, much like Win XP does.

Stefan and Unix probably put some kind of limit on trial accounts when they finish more of the projects they've been working on. Probably put some ads out then too

hmmm. Don't you have to be 18 or over to sign up for a paypal account? I'm not speaking for everyone, but most parents have the last word on whether or not they're allowed to purchase an account.
