Graal

I know this is repeated an awful lot on these forums, and over and over again it has been agreed on and disagreed on, or whatever.
But I just felt like I'd add it, as I have logged onto graal the past few weeks.

I go to the first playerworld, Unholy Nation...as expected from there nothing has changed.
[Edit: UN has a new composer system. Very Nice system but not exactly fun for more than 5 minutes.]

I then move on after seeing the hole that UN is stuck in and move on to Era. Oh, the NPC has a new message, "scamming is now legal" ahh how such innovations add to the experience and enjoyment of the game we once loved.

Then I moved on to N-Pulse, low playercount and I had seen more life in a morgue.

Then I kinda gave up...Where has the inspiration gone from managers? Where are the managers that used to aspire to achieve better for their playerworlds? To increase the enjoyment factor for the players?

When I joined this game used to have a fun factor with lots of things to do, I believe it's gotten...dare I say it...boring.

Please feel free to comment if you wish.

Well, some playerworld owners get their position due to their connections with \\global\\ staff. I can name a few now

I think they believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it... Era and UN get a lot of players. NPulse on the other hand does have production going on on a dev server and it looks promising. :x Playerworlds like Graal Kingdoms on the other hand could use some improvements... and some of the people who have had hidden playerworlds for years could try to get done faster. They've had the ability to buy the things for a long time but nobody's come out yet.

I remember Oasis, konidias was working on it for the longest time... where did it go? I was excited about it!

I think the issue is that playerworlds are so big that unless you play them constantly you kinda miss out on the updates they make, as you don't see or know about them. But then communication is partly to blame for not letting the players know about this. I guess this is why so many playerworlds in the past have decided to totally remake their world!

Or the inspiration is too grand. Development team is constantly fighting amongst each other for their own inspiration to get done. Thus, the staff team works against themselves and nothing gets done.

Or... They're all working on a 'Dev server'... That never gets finished -- Or, the risk it entitles to release the Dev Server is so enormous that there is no insurance to their survival.

No new server owners are really motavated to continue workin on thier servers themselves anymore. Sadly, I am guilty of the same.

I frown while typing:

"if I wasn't screwing off on Delt then I'd probably have a life."

Now go look at how promising it looks.

I worked on Mythic for a loooong time all on my own, and guess what - I still am, although not alone anymore.

Graal would be a better place if everyone developing a devserver worked together rather than independantly. But there's no good reason so to do. So nobody does.

The world would most likely be a better place without weapons as well, y'know.

Not really. Practically everything can be used as a weapon, doesn't have to be one though.
