Graal works fine on our Vista installation, installing it into a folder which doesn't have spaces in its name is fixing the problem of freezing when you open a PM. Graphical messups might have to do with special graphic card driver problems.

Including the error in the F2 window saying the DirectX surface couldn't be locked?

I also noticed that if i close Editor when there is a level opened in it, it gives me a error saying: Runtime error 216 at 00003FA4. It gives me the option "OK", but it just pops back up again. The only way I can get rid of it is opening the task manager and manually closing it.

This seems to be a core issue with the design of Graal itself. I hope this doesn't prove to be a huge task to make this vista compatible.

From MSDN about error on crash:

Either this is an error that is XP and not Vista, or Vista thinks Graal is a virus?

SYMPTOMS
When you start Windows, Internet Explorer, or a Windows-based program, you may receive the following error message:
Runtime Error 216 at Address

CAUSE
This issue can occur if your computer is infected with a SubSeven Trojan virus.

Also, I have a DC Conroe 6300, 2 GB of DDR2 pc6400 RAM, nvidia 7600 GT with latest drivers and am getting all the same graphical errors as everyone else, along with a choppy framerate.
This seems to be DX7 related? All DX9 apps have run fine for me thus far.
Vista has owned graal.

Just downloaded the setup from the website, and ran it. Then this happened, first the error, then graal opened. Let's see what happens next...

I clicked "OK" for that error about 7 times before it stopped comming up.

Here is what my setup looks like:

Ok, so I have it installed, I go to play, I get the first error again. Ok, won't go away this time, I ignore it. I continue playing, and I have to resize the window in order to close Zodiac's news thing that comes up. I couldn't see the "X" button, and even resized it was all scrambled like the setup window was.

Then when I went to PM someone, this came up, and would not go away until I ened G4.exe process.

It would be nice to have this fixed soon Stefan, a lot of people buying new computers and whatnot and getting Vista with it. Whether they want to put XP back on it, I don't know, but I like Vista, and it runs everything I own perfect.

Here is Windows Score thing:

Update:

Running in XP SP2 compatibility solves the PM window bug. But, it still does not fix the DirectX issue with the graphics.

Graphics Card : ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series

All the animated flowers (and seems to only be the flowers, even inside levels) flash over and over. Also, Graal randomly "Stops Working" and shuts down.

I can't reinstall Windows XP as I ahve no more activations and dont want to do anything illegal. I Could pay $250 for another legal copy and install on another drive, but I really don't want to pay a lot of money just to get graal working again.

fix
