Iphone Graal Client 4 All Servers

This server would be a success if it has a Iphone/Ipod Touch client

like Graal here you login and choose a server to go on, it should be nice if there is a graal client for the Ipod Touch/Iphone so everyone at anywere can play graal/or develope

I just have noticed that Iphone Classic has a very high playercount in just a few weeks running:

It would be very great if it was

It's possible to go on other servers with the client if it's enabled for you, but almost all of them lag way too bad (especially Zodiac and Era) to be even near playable.

Maybe bad internet connections but lag is no really problem like classic you can play on it and it has no problems at all

Guessing you're not fully up with the situation....

Iphone server is quite different from regular servers. All coding has to take the iPhones specifications into mind whether than be just the interface (limited screen size, inability to easily use keyboard as well as multi touch) or the limited power the iPhone has compared to your average PC.

Giving iPhone users the ability to go everywhere would do more harm then good. iPhone users would find most servers inaccessible and think of them as poor quality.

Just the fact the iPhone client runs at a different FPS could screw up alot of content on standard servers....

The main problems are that there is a lot of "bad scripting" (even on kingdoms, partially because of old GS1 habits running timeouts in each weapon) and the user interface is not done for touch input. As more as Classic is evolving and server owners work on specific iphone/mobile version we can bring more servers to iphone/ipod though.

Stefan, when will an iPhone Testbed be opened? I very much want to develop on an iPhone server, I have a few ideas lined up.

i believe the current testbed was originally bought by aeko, and was renewed the last time by tig(not sure about this one though).
So i guess it would be waiting for a player to put an iphone server out to the public.
