Recognizable?

Okay, well new1.nw doesn't have a direct file to be opened with. It shows a white square and says for me to choose a program. I choose level editor and nothing happens, it doesn't show up or anything. So how am I suppose to get it to recognize a file when it wont let me select level editor? Its really annoying since I can't open any levels I make... help?

This happens to me as well but I just open the level editor and drag the NW file on to it.

Thanks Jerret that worked, and I use Vista which I hate.. and it did, but it wouldn't allow me to choose level editor.

What happens is (Windows 7 for me), you do the Open With dialog like normal but it refuses to add Graal Editor as an available program.

Workaround: Make a copy of GraalEditor.exe in your Graal folder, rename it whatever you want, and then try setting it to open with.

The registry values for the Editor are probably broken then. Check HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/nw_auto_file/shell/open/command and correct the path, or just delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/nw_auto_file, that should work; in theory.

What worked for me was to rename "GraalEditor.exe" to "Graal Editor.exe"

Jiroxys7 will become famous soon enough
I believe last time I checked you can also open .nw levels with graal.exe instead of the editor, and itll open the editor for you.

Yup, that's the easy way. I think I've posted about that in the past, too. But it's not a very nice way, in my opinion
