Sounds good, I was only stating it would look nice seeing names moving down a board and the names "battling" / rumbling near each other in real time.. I know how much you like flashy. ;D

You probably have much more to do than to work on that I'm sure.
Do the players get to see the fighting too? The actual sparring?
And do they need a sword to watch :[

There are 2 different GC arenas, one for staff to host within which is private, the other a publicly hostable arena within the studios where ofcourse anyone can watch.

The work towards Events is still on a foundational level, so I thought I'd use the prize room as an opportunity to display some of the ongoing preparation:

It should be noted that the ticket awarding strategy is now much different, hence the seemingly inflated prices compared to the past.

I like the idea of using high numbers for prices/win payouts so you can award variable amounts of points for an event win. For example you can even have consolation prizes based on your score in an event(if applicable) with a small amount and a large prize for a win.

like 100 points for an event win
50 pts for second
25 for 3rd
etc

It's not clear as to whether you're already aware, but if not then this is part of the plan already, and the main reason for the inflated numbers.

Not so much related to studio events, but the monthly spar tournament, spar belts, and a total of 26 prizes are now prepared.

Similarly to the past, monthly qualification spars are commenced between the first 2 players to reach a certain inside location. Due to the absence of basic alternative spar levels, as well as a larger map necessary to disperse them, a limit warp is instead placed at an automatic random location, which warps the first 2 players that reach it to a GC arena. The locations consist of buildings all over the map, none of which are restricted by quest progress. A message containing the location is sent to the chat box whenever a qualification limit warp is created or closed.
The winner is warped to the waiting room, while the loser is warped back to the GC Studios. We may yet still have a certain number of summon spars, but these must occur after the location spars rather than simultaneous to them.
The monthly spar arenas themself are now located within SuperNicks.

The statue signs now also display the hours inwhich a defence is due (or the specific date the monthly title was won).

Spar title wins and defences are also added to a players statistic window:

Might want to change 'defenses' to 'times defended'. Doesn't read well.

Defence/Defense is just an English/American difference, but I guess "Defended" would solve that.

Would need to switch "Wins" to "Won" if we're switching to past tense though.

Having made a new version of Wizards and Warlocks as a team event, Lasertag has now been made as a publicly hostable studio event:

  • The controls are handled entirely through keyboard buttons, as opposed to a mouse. The arrow keys move the target cursor, A/grab key makes you walk towards the target, S/sword key shoots a laser towards the target, D/weapon key pulls the target back to your character for a quick turn.
  • The screen focus is set inbetween your character and target for a clear enough sight of both.
  • The laser colours match your nickname, so while they would be blue and red for Wizards and Warlocks, there's a wider array of colours for the single player version.
  • The event level itself has the option for both normal PK and one hit KO mode, as well as point setting.
  • With laser shooting now being incorporated into the main systems (which is also smoother and more consistant), it would be easy to add as a free for all PK level, perhaps within Ebon Hand.

In addition to the Studio level, a free for all Lasertag PK level has been added within a new Ebon Keep, the North cave behind SuperNick's battle arena.

That floor is busy as ****, and that's not good for gameplay.
