I think you need to think about the Zone dropship. The background is blue, so perhaps make your warp a different colour (not red, gwars)

I never really worked and done anything this way, tho if he made it like the default graal light then I can't see anything wrong with it :P
I still prefer pure transparency then some work with opacity, alpha and forms.
