The players are here to play the game. There are some that choose to develop, sure, but even you said it's a game. The majority of people haven't and won't upgrade to develop, they upgrade to play. As I've said like a million times (really I've given up on threads like this), CJ succeeds everytime they have treated it as a game. Look at GTA, G2k1, G2k2, their revamp of Zone, and Classic iPhone.

Thats the reason for Graal loosing market share to cashshop MMORPG where people get free gameplay without the need of "producing your own content".
I think that the playerworld based model is a pretty cool and unique one - yet it's nearly impossible to produce something competetive, as by now, those free cashshop games are created by professionals, too.
I think if Graal has the claim to become successful again, it would need a new set of public useable graphics and a sort of a playerworld building kit so that it's easier for new players/developers to produce competitive content.
Right now all new playerworlds rather seem to reach out for professional game projects (as it's the picture people have in mind right now as they think about mmorpg's) - and fail, as it usually takes too much time and effort.
