Again, I might just be missing something there, but it'd be nice to know.
In Graal v4 the interface is written in Delphi. Advantages:
- More compatible - people that use v2 will not have problems with v4
- External playerlist and option window (it might be possible sometime to allow scripted external windows but this will take time).

I think the point that Fry is getting at is that moving back to Delphi was a bad idea.
Graal 3 has always been so much faster for me, and Graal 4 just doesn't perform as well.

The other thing with Graal 4 is the lack of OpenGL. What happened to that?

He said the interface was written in delphi, not the game engine itself (which should be as fast as 3.0)

Well, yes, I guess not having to fight with the Windows API to integrate external windows is a good reason. Okay. But why were there such big problems with TTF that Bitmap fonts needed to be used? Did Torque or v3 display Bitmap fonts too?

Should, yes, but isn't; I don't think DDraw7 was such a good choice. But lets wait until it's finished.

v4 seems to have UDP problems, so try disabling UDP (in general options)

Hmm, so v4 has the internal (GS2) and external (Delphi) GUIs, I think it was a good idea to do this. Much better to have the playerlist outside the Graal window. Also like the new GS2 GUI theme.

Also I would like if you could somehow add more advanced features to the NPCServer, like some type of extended connection for people with the rights that would have more options than the normal NC, that would allow you to take things a step further in how the NPCServer operates, make it unique to the server.
I hope i'm making sense.

The last I saw of Graal v4 for Apple/Mac was yesterday when Stefan was testing it. So I'm guessing it will be released soon.

Talking yay!

Hoorah for graal on mac.
My brother just updated to gold just to check out g4, i like it. Now all the emoticons can be used and when commands are bound to buttons they actually work 'omg'. So looking good as of now, plus many annoying bugs from the last client are gone with the new engine such as crashing from certain masses and weapons saving even when told to destroy;.
YAY!!
Can't wait till i can use it on my classic account and anticipate an RC for mac which has the functionality of the pc rc.

But as of now, looking good, and I think it may have bought my brother back to the game.

Good Job
