No porn? wth, STEFAN, COME LOOK
Just to clear a couple things up and see how many people decide to spam my inbox with hate mail.
1. Classic subscriptions are never removed just because you upgrade the account. Removal is not an automated process. Stefan would have to do it manually and unless we request he do so it rarely happens.
2. Sharing/selling/trading/giving away accounts is enforced to the best of our abilities. Due to the time involved to research each account, I normally will only check on those that have had reports on them. Some instances of sharing turn out to not be sharing at all which usually leads to even more people complaining about it which takes even more time to reexplain why its not shared.
3. While I personally would love to see lifetime accounts exist again I do understand why they were removed. "Waits for the usual 'greed' response" If anyone were to think deeply enough they would realize that Graalians themselves caused the ultimate demise.
We bought our accounts and for the most part never paid for Graal again. Only those that played the gold servers ever bothered to pay. Some of us bought a few accounts so we could have alternate identities or bought one for a friend but still, never paid again. After a few years those accounts were handed down to others. Sometimes several others. Those people never paid either. Now people are buying said accounts for USD outside of Graal so they can have a classic account. Once again, Graal receives nothing for this transaction and in many MANY cases the owner is actually selling his account to several people but then claiming the account was stolen and getting it returned to him since he is the one able to prove ownership.
Graal cannot run on air, Stefan works pretty much 7 days a week for Graal and must also pay bills and eat to survive. Unixmad considers this a business (which it is) and deserves and income for it. The rule of thumb for most businesses is, "If you don't see a profit in 5 years, shut it down."
4. If you want to get into the whole volunteering thing I have an answer for that as well. We continue to do it so its still our own fault. If you don't want to work for free then don't take a staff job. While I do think it would be in the company's best interest to have paid staff that isn't what we are here to debate.
For those of you who actually took the time to read my rant, I thank you and will happily accept your hate mail now
