Of course this game isn't going to be entirely original, not a lot of things are original anymore but just because it's not entirely original doesn't mean it's a bad idea.
The advantages of using elemts like fire, water etc is that everyone knows what they are and why they are weak or strong against certain things.
Maybe there could be a neutral 'plasma' element?

Blek- Having to pay for time to play the game? That's not even logical man -_-. In my opinion, concentrate more on the social aspect of having people playing a cardgame.

Pff, that's a pretty self-explanitory lie right there.

Yes it is. It keeps people on their feet. You get more than enough money from monsters if you put enough time into it. If you don't want to play and slack off most of the time, then you will not be able to benefit from the game.

Qwert:I don't know about the other "concieted idiots", but I want to see the server do well, believe me. You and Wan have a great idea on your hands that has a lot of potential. I (maybe we) just don't want to see it turn into a horrible train wreck of card game cliches.

If you want to see the server head in the right direction, help us by working with us and giving us your ideas instead of working against us. Telling us it's pokemon is not an example of helping.

Sorry, but that just sounds like you saying that the only way to play your server is to constantly keep moving. A great deal of people would probably prefer a nice, casual pace- Much like, I don't know, EVERY CARD GAME IN EXSISTANCE. By casual, I dont mean taking hours on end, but I mean being able to think, and enjoy, and not have to worry about how long you're allowed to play the game .

I am working with you. A couple examples from the rule system was posted so far, and I stated some grievances that I had in hopes that you may have reconsidered. I suppose I can throw out a few ways to alter elements and different work with them. I'll give it some thought and post back later.

I just hope Brad doesn't steal it.

There are so many things you can do with a TCG. Especially one with a graphical feel like this. You can take advantage of things like arenas, changable cards, different play areas, and a lot more.

Did you skim through the .txt or what? I specifically stated that you can still play the server. Is that not clear to you? What? I don't understand what you're not getting.

*shrug* Whatever. I was thinking about letting the time be infinite inside of the pub houses. If you're not questing or leveling up then you'll most likely be inside of the towns, anyways. I left it out because that lets people exploit the ranking system because it doesn't pose as much of a difficulty to gain ranks by just beating newbies 24/7 . I also don't like the idea of the cards being chose at random whenever you're battling, because it might become frustrating whenever you run into an enemy and you're automatically (randomly) chosen with one of the worst decks that you have, and you can't even do anything about it.

By play the game, I meant the Card game- you know, the central aspect of the entire server. When a server's only real draw is the card game, and you place such rigid restrictions on it, you're basically making your server playable in only small doses. You think by limiting time you'll stop people from preying on newbies?
Why should they use up so much of their time in long duels with experienced players, when they could knock out 2-3 novices at the same time?

I know what you mean. I don't want people sitting at tables 24/7 and be a directly duplicate of UN where half of our population is just going to be mass piles of idlers and AFKers. That's practically the only reason I made a time limit, besides the quest ideas. If I just make the towns and pubs have no time limit, then I would have to get rid of the ranking system because of it's abuse exploitability, and I don't want to get rid of it.

That wasn't my intentions. Putting a time limit up and people preying on newbies has nothing to do with each other, I put a time limit in there to keep idlers from abusing the system and to make quests more challenging.
