Same here, sometimes my email client doesn't read html documents right and I have a bunch of tags everywhere. It's annoying . Plus I just like plain text better because that's what the rest of my emails are.

Me and Unixmad both said their would be plain text newsletter. Why do you keep on saying you want one? Yes you can just sign up for plain text or HTML version. I understand some email clients will treat HTML badly. So there will be a plain text newsletter in much the same format as Konidias said.
