Except it wasn't. Because that would have been impossible. Bel'la Olplyn was a kingdom of Zormites who claimed to be Drow because that's what the conventions of RP dictate they had to be.

My post was slightly mistaken. It is possible for Etien and Kefkin to have been Drow, but it is not possible for a Bel'la Olplyn to have been a Drow kingdom. Etien and Kefkin can't simply declare all Zormite RP characters dead just because they happen to have political authority over the kingdom.

I'm not in any way saying that we're going to adopt a new race. We are still Zormite, and we are still human. We've mingled. Have you forgotten the humans that died separating Zormite from the Drow?

Secondly, 'communism' is an annoying, misunderstood buzz word. I would prefer that we call this a socialist republic, like it was before. You're all startled by the flag, but I explained it. It is not in any way representative of an essential political change. It is a republic, it will be a republic as long as I hold breath.

Finally, all Zormite leaders - are - met with hostility, and elitism, and 2k1ism. Wren was, Of course etien was, ZH was, and I am. It's not unexpected.

Yeah, that'd be a good idea. Also, I didn't see ZH met with much hostility, unless you mean the hostility of the 2 (Sort of.) active members of Bel'la Olplyn.

It's only been since people tried to enact any change that hostilites have been met, which is why I started with Wren. You're not powerplaying until you do what Etien did, so there's no need to scorch at me over it. I'm simply enacting the republic, and will do so for the glory of the nation.

Nobody is saying that any of the changes are a violation of RP conventions, just that they have other serious shortcomings.

Believe it or not, I actually HAD read that story in English a few years ago, and this year I reread it in AP. Good reference, but fundamentally flawed in that there is a definate yet unexplainable difference between a kingdom's preferred color swatch and blind faith in luck-of-the-draw murder.
