That's not my point. I'm talking about in RPing, it doesn't make sense for a pirate captain to be in a family with a Samurai.

The royal families off all the powers in europe were interelated, like the Holen-Zollerns(sp?) had family in Austria and Spain, I believe.

Really? But was it so close that the people are husband and wife, father and daughter, brothers, etc. ? And even so, that's still different. Graal has only 5 nations. These can be seen as the main powers of the world. It would be different if the server would be open to more RP groups (people having their RP guilds...indepent rebel groups, etc), but that would call for more Graal players, and more people willing to RP more often, having stronger rules for RPing. Right now, we still have the problem of people talking OOC most of the time on tag (even kingdom leaders). GK's RPing is just a joke right now. Yes, there are problems that are hard to work around (the main island is hard to put into RPing, it's hard to act like the old Zormite fish people when everyone has same colored hands, etc. ), but there are many people who are capable of working around those things (or "toughing out" the problems so to say) and leading a kingdom to do so.

If you're in the U.S. Millitary (especially in a commanding position), and he's in the Iraq millitary, you should see why it can't be allowed. Besides...it's unrealistic to think 2 people living in 2 different countries are married. -_-

Yes, all English royalty seem to came from Denmark...
And a 14-year old prince married a 10-year old princess to become allies...
