Ganis are a very basic area, it requires mostly patience, rather than skill. Anyone can make a good looking gani w/ the right GFX =\ so I am against it.

Look at the name: Gani. Graal Animation. It's a moving picture, and I can't see any reason to associate it with scripting. We don't split the graphics forum into png and mng sections, so why distinguish ganis just because they're not a conventional graphical format? The argument that scripting is necessary to use ganis is stupid; scripting is needed to use any graphics in any complicated way. If people wanna show off/ask about gani scripting then they can post in the scripting forum. If they wanna do the same for normal ganis then they can go to the graphics forum. We don't need yet another stupid empty forum.

You know, without ganis, there would be no walking, no sword, no you X_x Making ganis is almost like part of the game, mostly everything is made with ganis.

They're essential but that doesn't mean they're not hideously easy to make. And I personally could live without the "/killmyselfinanewfunnyway" commands.

Those are slighly stupid. Too bad i made one, it's so fun too. If i could find it....i think it is on NPC forums, the kickfloat...
I just think Gani's should get as much respect as anything else...well..maybe not quite as much, but nowadays all the cool movements will be ganis.

Grim Squeaker:

Actually there would be, we'd still be making use of the sprites #0-40. Har.
The only thing Gani's have really done is making the more complex image manipulations easier, to those with the patience.

Hide all the sub fourms and make it so you click the main category of those fourms to be taken to all it's sub fourms.
So Development would be the main fourm.
You click that and it would take you to a list of fourms like
General Development
NPC Scripting
Levels
GFX
Ganis
SFX
Doesn't make the main page look so cluttered and it isn't complex.
That's what i was thinking when i read this thread. It would probably be the best way to go about it.
