Everyone on these forums like it because they've already paid for Graal so nothing will happen to them. Thats why you hear all of these "Unixmad, this is a great idea!" and ****. Oh well, there goes the idea of the 'oldbies' comming back to Graal.

$15 a lifetime is not that much.
Thats just over the price of EQ a month so thas how cheap the game actually is.

SO, I have a p2p account with 80 some days left. I dont have to reregister until it runs out and when I do it will be $15 in US currency to reupgrade and I dont have to reupgrade till my account runs out. Now what about the playerworlds? Some playerworlds need their NPC Server to function correctly, will they loose that? And what about upcoming playerworlds, do they have a choice of NPC Server and monthly subscriptions like g2k1 and g2k2 will be? This is so confusing.

I meant that the classic one will remain.
And I really doubt there will be a very dramatic decrease in players. Maybe there will be at first, but alot of players are like addicts, they will come back no matter what.

i think....

billing:
-15 dollars for upgrading to freeworld servers for lifetime (limited
time offer)
-upgrading to pay servers stays the same, montly rate.
playerworlds:
-un-upgreaded accs dont save your information (load-only accounts, like acc: 'guest' back in 1.2* days) [freeworlds]
-pay worlds still uses ghost mode for un-upgraded accs i beleive.
-freeworlds do not get an npc-server, but still players must pay to log on there and save their data.
-pay worlds get npc-server, and players pay to log on.

No, If you are upgraded by June, you will stay upgraded for Playerworlds and classic forever.

No.
From my understanding when the new system is up upgraded accounts will be registered accounts meaning that theywon't have to pay the $15 to play the non p2p worlds (classic etc) but you will still have to pay the £39 (i think) to play 2k1, 2k2, andor etc.

I think a some of you are getting confused...the lifetime access is for classic and playerworlds...you'll have to continue to pay a monthly rate for 2k1 and 2k2....For those that haven't upgraded since 2k1 came out or those that create new accounts can pay $15 for the lifetime access, or pay the monthly fee and get lifetime access plus access to 2k1 and 2k2.

As for playerworlds, unixmad said all restrictions will be removed which means even free servers will probably be allowed to use the p2p-only commands and possibly get an NPC server.

But all of this is my interpretation so take it with a grain of salt

Graal will not be graal anymore. New characters? Nomore old 2d graal. I dont want 3d graal, I can goto rag-na-rok for that. I play graal for what it is. I like the ideas of making everything p2p, but I hate the rest of this.

no... only upgraded (p2p ones now) servers get npc-server, the classic servers (free ones now) get no npc-server.

I said that thing about the oldbies because there trying to bring back this 'old graal' player world, in which they think all the oldbies would come flying back to Graal. All playerworlds are part of 'Classic Graal', which means everyone
can play on them but your account will not be saved when not having registered or upgraded at least one time.
Playerworlds will not get an npcserver easily, probably only
when the playerworld has a lot of good scripters, not people that just want to try out some fancy npcserver script commands.

Yeah! Delteria's a shoe-in! Jagen is a superb scripter, and our NAT's are top-notch! Don't get me started on the LAT's, either...

I can't imagine how much having a NPC server would help us! I can't wait!!!

Once again, this is fantastic. So right now from what I understand, people who have already subscribed to 2k1 will get to play Classic and the other PW's as a sort of "thank you" gift when their time ecxpires on the p2p playerworlds? That is sweet!

Also, please implement the voice chat system on 2k1 and 2k2, it would bring so many players back
