Vima is an unknown quantity at this point
so I just looked at Graal Statics today and saw that the record is right now on 724!!!
I can't believe it, is it actually going to hit 1000?

Once again, keep up with the good job Stefan, Unixmad & all the other people working on the Iphone Server. :]

I bought an ipod touch so that I could play this. It's about 10 times more fun than regular graal, just because of the community.

Bombs and arrows need to be displayed on their buttons though.

You gotta also realize that the server itself is pushing hundreds more players than that throughout the day! When we're working, or handling issues amongst the players, we see a lot of familiar faces; and a lot of unfamiliar faces too.

Without a doubt, I'd say that we have well over 1,000 unique players.

Totally.
As I was playing this, I was saying to myself, "this is amazing!"
600+ people consistently is an awesome accomplishment!
I'm concerned with Cyberjoueurs being able to keep up such a high-volume server, considering there are no third-party ads(not that I want them), and the only source of income is the one-time fee of $1.99 for the app and the people purchasing gelats. Is that income sufficient for(in the long run) adequately supporting a server of 600+?
1)If not, will there be a higher(or even monthly) fee for playing on the iPod touch?
2)or, will it eventually 'run out of gas' and end the project altogether?

If everything's A-Okay, then I guess there are no worries :]

Well with the upgradable features being purchasable, I'm sure they have made around $1k already on the iphone game. I would suspect over time they would put more upgradable features and possibly move onto inserting 3rd party ads if profits do decrease significantly (I have no idea if Apple allows 3rd party advertisements on free apps). As long as the demand is strong, they will charge for a lower price

Actually most players on Classic iPhone are using the Plus version or have bought the customization pack and house pack. We will add some more packs in the future and eventually also gralat packs for people who don't want to spend a lot of time on 'farming' bushes.

But how many of these are actual legit purchases off of the Apple App Store? I just checked and GraalOnline Classic + is on the fairly wide used pirating site for Apps.

'Just sayin with the average age of the playerbase I doubt there has been an overwhelming amount of legitimate purchases.
