Noticed that.
Well, if you're up to scalping I'll send you the link to the backup of my Offliney progress and you can reap whatever you like from that system, or you can sit tight and I'll make the Onliney version later on, whatever blows your hair back.
I wonder, what are the different job classes going to let you keep once you've changed jobs? Will ex-medics still get a boost on Healing Kits? Will Hunters still get average stats? Will Heavies keep (some of) their strength boost? Will Couriers keep (some of) their speed boost? Are you planning on having an XP system? Is there going to be an overarching story to this? Will it break the mold of
Perpetual Static?
Another class idea - Caveman/Savage/Cavewoman/Primitive. Fastest fighting class (as fast as a courier), fights in melee - often climbing ONTO their prey (attachobject, like riding a hostile) to slice it to ribbons. Uses Field Dressing to cut a dinosaur down to lightweight parts. If Reptilia winds up using a FF5-style Jobs system, the Keepable traits would be melee, speed, field-dressing and grapple. Possible top-level ability has them take limited Rider control over their prey - the controls are similar to many servers' Drunk effect and the dino charges at max speed, but you can smash it into walls or off cliffs (if you don't jump at the last second, you take damage and fall off when the dino impacts)
Don't sweat that you don't have anything to show for it yet, and trust me, you won't for a while. Pretty much the ONLY thing I learned in university was that any software product can benefit from A LOT of planning before the first header is called. If you have a major reference document with everything from "The king of the rival kingdom's first wife name was Loretta, is seen in one flashback, has red hair, [picture]; even if the rival king gets deposed, she still started the Courier's Guild in her days as a street urchin, causing the so-called Noble classes to look down on it" to "System handles: movement (clientside with verification and reporting serverside), combat (ditto), GUI (clientside only). Calls: Dungeon stocker (level NPC) via with(NPC)..."
