It was a seperate comment and deserved a re-flagging of the thread so that people could see that the thread had new activity.

I don't know about you, but I don't go back and re-check posts I've already read to see if "Omg, did someone edit anything NEW into this post?". So it makes sense to post a seperate comment to ensure that it would actually be acknowledged.
Yea, I wasn't really making mention specifically to this case and I should have been more clear in that. I am moreso addressing the usage of tree structure layouts. Nearly none of the users on this forum use it, aside from a handful - I would imagine it's almost always in pieces and chopped up which leads me to wonder why you bother?

Because it's a more comfortable setting for me than a linear view.

Furthermore, it has dual functionality, because I can view it linear if I choose to simply by selecting the first post in the tree.

Why would I choose to use linear only when I can have linear or threaded at the touch of a button?

Likely because the tree is constantly broken? :P Besides, tree structure is very ugly.

I tend to disagree. While the tree structure is often broken, it's often times easier for me to keep up with. With the exception of when 10 people post off the first post even though they are commenting on something in the bottom of a tree.

The tree structure would be nice if it was the only available view, but since it's the least commonly used I think it's not worth the effort or annoying double posting for normal users.

I apologize if my thread view annoys you, and I respect your opinion on the matter, but I will still continue to use it.

*Shrug* There's no rule which says you can't. But let's stop this conversation. We're making too many posts on this little sub-topic.

I'm with Zeph on this one, all you have to do is add a few details with texture and such, it doesn't even take very long, and it often gives a picture that's more intresting to look at.

Its a fairly decent piece considering that you have only 5 colors, but I have a few crits. You should really change the colors on it, they are too...saturated? Try making it a darker color on the bottom and top. Also the way you shaded this makes it look like more of a metal, you should really try to give it a more rough appearence. But I dunno, this could all just be what I think and everyone could disagree with im saying. But have a nice day and hope you fix your wall.
