There's no use denying it's not a FF7 "knockoff", and you also cannot deny that every other person has done one, but I like the textures on yours... reminds me of Bloo's textures, a bit.

i dont understand why you rotated it 45 degrees, when you didnt bother to redraw it. you cant just leave images anti aliased like that! and you can do better than 69 colors. take your time and shade it right. looks like its made out of granite.

create a new layer above that one and fill it in white. then open the layers toolbar and set the opacity of that white layer down to about 50% or so.
then create another new layer and draw on that one right on top of the blurred one. this is probably the best way of drawing your weapon at diagonals because your drawing it right on top of your old one.
and when your done just trash the white layer and delete the fuzzy rotation from your original layer and then merge em together.
this is in paintshop pro by the way
