The game is unfair, because people are making alchemy items such as mithril and selling them and stuff to make the economy completely screwed up.
The big cheeses decide that the best way to solve this problem is not to lower the price of the items, but to remove the ability to make them. The theory is that this will make the game fair. The reality is that it tilts the scales even further towards the vertical; while people had good items before, and there was a slim chance that everyone else could one day make them too, now some people have good items and there is no chance that anybody will be able to make any ever again.

No, I don't think that is needed. It was obviously handled in a very poor manner. The alchemy items should either be "nerfed" or removed completely.

Mare some basic gaunlets and gloves craftable, and add some low-improvement recipes for the. Don't add items as strong as the random alchemy items, but close the gap - no bracers and gloves at all to event/random alchemy bracers and gloves.
