Too bad the economy can't properly work due to the fact that there is unlimited money. If there was a set amount of money, then you would see a real economy. Unfortunately, there can't be so that new players are able to get money off the bat *sigh*

But... That gives opening for players to work for other players. Players could start businesses, paying other players to work for them. If they are unfair, they can bring it up with the Economics Admin. Then there could be a courtroom lawsuit type thing.

But no, that would be too tough for the little kiddies.

There doesn't have to be a set amount of money. The staff simply have to be on the ball when it comes to inflation.

So it is good that the economy is dependent on the staff? I think the economy should be able to fuel itself, not be on puppet strings of the staff.

1. Why not?
2. The economy is going to be on puppet strings of the staff no matter what.

1. There could be conflict of interest, staff unavailable at given time when needed, and people would have reason to complain to the staff (for the staff would take responsibility)
2. My point is that I don't agree with the staff always controlling the economy. It makes the players just puppets of the staff. Having a set amount of money in the world would make stuff worth more

With a set amount of money, you'll end up with 66% of the money in the hands of the five richest guys. And half of what's left sitting on innactive accounts.

And inflation isn't going to shoot up in 3 days. The staff just have to gradually up the prices/payouts of things to give new players a chance.

Wasn't' there a group that sort of did that? Miners Inc, or something?

PKing is basically stealing stuff from other people. Some of that's ok but God damn I'm sick of losing stuff I work for to some idiot loser who sits inside the admin house or by the drasine tracks.

I just laugh at people who try to PK me. While I do spin away when hit, I don't get hurt, and it's rather comical.

Have people with money be taxed, having the tax money go to the npc's that pay you for bread, etc. If 5 rich guys do get 66% of the money, wouldn't they have earned it? If nobody does anything to earn money, then how is it the 5 rich guys' fault?

How is it the fault of a new player who just joined that five players have the majority of the money?

As players arrive players will also leave. You should be taxed even when you are not online, so while the people that leave lose money, the people that join gain that.
