Won't work too well unless you have simple symmetrical objects -
if the image is too complicated in direction(als), then it won't turn out too well when shadowed.
Not necassarily... making like, a shadow template of the image and doing small rotations for each frame would result in a pretty realistic shadow. I don't see what the image being symmetrical has to do with it because it isn't flipping the image to the other side, it would basically be rotated in a graphics program.

Oh, right. I thought you were using GScript's inbuilt rotation stuff until I realised that it doesn't exist yet.

Right, however I'm not sure I'm going for y positioning either... Right now the sun would rise in the east, travel over the land, and set in the west. The shadows would only change x position depending on the sun's position. Y position would be funky for the most part.

Depends on your point of reference. The base of the shadow never moves, but the top moves in both x and y dimensions.

Well what I'm trying to say is that I am just using a copy of the object image as the shadow. So there is no skewing or stretching. Thus it doesn't move in both x and y or it would involve those.

Hmm. There should be some stretching and skewing. Imagine a fence that looks like this: ‡‡‡‡‡ You can't just rotate the fence image or it'll look wrong. You need to skew it.

As for the coloration of the leaves... are you using changeimgcolor? I would.

I'm not using changeimgcolor because the coloration wouldn't be as good, and it also antialiases the image.

Eh... let me just say... I'm not looking for levels people right now. We aren't far enough along for that yet, we still have a bit more to go. I'm not accepting level maker applications now because no one has experience making Oasis levels, and also because like I said, we aren't at that stage quite yet.

Meh. I hate statements like "the coloration wouldn't be as good". It just depends on the scripting; there's more than one way to do everything. And I believe you could do it in such a way that removes the normal blurring effect, or at least makes it insignificant.
