Amsel has a great point when saying; Those weapons are beyond a price tag. It will make certain players insanely rich, if they aren't already.

I do believe this though; Players who are of high skill and have acquired a set of MVP weapons; William, Corey and whoever else might have happened to have snagged a few are above price.

These are the Elites and the Elites who have a large sum of MVP weapons, e.g William, won't sell them, regardless if it was for an outrageous price putting him well within the richest player.

In all honesty, when making them trade-able I see the following happening; People working a LOT harder to obtain MVP coins, some of those people selling their weapon and the elites with a large sum of them just letting their friends use them.

I've always considered William the richest because let's face it, he is the best player and owning every gun, every item, every possible advantage isn't enough to beat him in a one on one battle. Now he will just have a bunch of 1 million dollar guns he can throw around to his friends and everyone else who has them will just sell them while they're selling for a ton, the end result will be all the guns not buyable through plain cash in a store "No pawn price" will just be a solid 1mil.
The thing is, we have plans to potentially make them tradable, we just think there needs to be some changes that go alongside it. We were planning on opening discussion after the poll results came out, and we told all of this to KoHo, including the fact that we want to make them tradable but it will take time. Why he chose to derail this discussion into a flame war is beyond me.

What Amsel really means is... He lost the battle on keeping them trade-able so instead, he will go away and make them useless. After us using blood, sweat & tears to get these weapons.

What other changes could it possibly be? There is no other changes that can be done apart from that. lol

EC weapons are tradeable and sell for 1m+ and have better stats than MVP weapons. What the hell is the big problem? Why the long discussions? Why do changes need to be made? Why do you need to go away and think about it, why does it need to take time?

I'm laughing because of how serious you're taking this and it's not a big issue at all. The players want them trade-able, the players earned these weapons. No money coming out of economy. Server not getting ruined, players are happy. WTF is the problem?

Smh!!

Between the first 3 people from the old Mercenary gang who I thought to check, there were 47 saved up MVP coins. Compare that to any other players and you'll see the problem with suddenly making them trade-able with everything else the same.

Name them please? and between 3 people, that's 15 mvp coins each. So what? i don't understand your point here. Go away and count how many people have EC's....!? And you really don't understand value of guns and how they work. The more guns bought the more the value decreases. So this would only be a good thing for you, not a bad thing!?

Corey had a ton of ECs saved, bought an Aug and made a nice penny off of me. I'm not really seeing the difference on this one.

Merc were full of the top elite players, hence why they reigned the server for such a long time. It's like throwing a bunch of disabled kids into a UFC fight. They're bound to have a bunch of MVPs, just like they have a ton of ECs for getting 5+ per week. I got 20 ECs one week from LC not long ago.

Merc obtained these coins legitimately and with team work to boost each other to get MVP weapons, I don't see why that's a problem

Anyway, these guns are fit into the "God Tier" so releasing them really isn't that big of a drama, I mean, they are basically the same as the EC items.

The main difference to me is that everyone has and can easily get ec coins. Even new players can win chance and races. With MVP coins, it's consistently the same small group of people winning endless amounts of them. It's like an exclusive stream of rare guns to people who are already the best and most well equipped pkers on the server. If MVP guns are going to be trade-able, I think MVP coins need to take a step more in te direction of ec coins. Maybe that means more strategy based gang events, or just more gang events during the week in general. That's the part we still need to discuss, which I would have liked to have brought up in a professional manner along with the poll results.

Which were about 76/24 in favor of tradable if I remember correctly (posting from my phone).

Completely agree.

I had an idea not long ago that the top gang should get it's original 5 ec but the top 3 for that week (in the gang that won) got 1 MVP coin and if you happened to be the top of all gangs that week you seemingly got 2.

That definitely will push more gang activity.

Double post again;

The idea of giving the top 3 of the winning gang an MVP coin would go REALLY well with the draft system too.

Gangs are open to anyone. Spar complex is open to anyone. If they players want to argue about it, they can't. The players who win them are the ones who deserve them. They put the endless work in to improve as a player. They worked hard and are the ones keeping your gang system alive and keeping pking alive. You want to take away their rewards by not letting them have the freedom of choice with their weapons?

MVP's are given out to ironman events.. (Open to anyone)
MVP's are given out to top gang raides (nothing stopping noobs join era police and raid endlessy to get the most points, i mean it's not skill their, it's just who has the most time to raid and get as much points as they can).

And i don't think it's fair to say such a small group of 3-4 players, insane to say that.

Lemme give you a list of players who can win mvps and do have mvps.

Me
Willsoul
smoke
corey
angla
skyler
godzilla
logababy
church
nashin
jesse

zelus
ramsfan

swift
cyclone
kareem
cosmo
ish
sed
raz
shadow
riley
mesh

requin

the list is endless of people who is well capable of being MVP and people who have MVP coins lol stop with this "small group"... this is a big group an that's only half of who i could of said.

Honestly, most of the things you say would make a lot more sense if MVP prizes were always kept to hats, cars, rare toys, maybe some bulk items (like explosives and throwables). But if we're trying to get new players onto the server, I don't think the best way to go about doing it is to give the people who already have all the best guns in the game and already PK better than everyone else an endless stream of extremely OP guns that they can then sell around and make even more money from. If we're making MVP weapons tradable, then there has to be some off-chance that Dragonslayer223 with 234 hours and dual gold uzis can outsmart his competition and end up with an MVP coin one day. We're done only catering to the already-rich of Era.

Just because somebody has an MVP gun doesn't mean they're already rich, where did you get this idea from?

You can make MVP prizes like that if you want but then they will become useless because players don't want that crap. Don't you get it? Era want things, they want new things. If you think you can run a successful server, keep it alive and expand it by limiting players by not letting them have the freedom with their items they earned then you are seriously deluded and crazy.

Why should dragonslayer333 and 234 hours have the chance to win MVP coins? MVP coins are only for "MVPS"... it's the highest reward you can win on era, so they win the best guns. IS THAT NOT WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!?

Dragonslayer & co having uzis is THEIR problem... Tell them to get of their ass and make money, join gangs get good and they can earn mvp coins and weapons to.

It's like telling bill gates he cant sell microsoft because it's worth to much money. Who are they to tell him he cant? He built that up and earned it, he can sell it if he likes for as much as he likes.

Same with these mvp guns, sorry but it's the truth. You guys are stepping on our toes and we dont like it, our guns, let us sell them if we want or keep doing what your doing and upsetting players and watch your player count decrease & decrease. I mean, average of 40-50 players now and you're worried that we can sell our mvp guns.

unbelievable. Not to mention the EC items are tradeable and being sold for more. It's hilarious.

meh, gang members help each other get mvp weapons all the time. i know that before the gang change, which happened earlier this month or last month (too lazy to log on era to check), wil helped his fellow merc members get mvp coins so that they could get all the mvp weapons. this was when merc was dominating gang events weekly. wil said that era was boring and that he only came on for gang events because members in his gang asked him to help them get mvp coins.

it's crazy when you think about it. that is how good players like wil and corey are. good enough to carry a whole game and make them elite. not saying that corey and wil are the only good members in their respective gangs and that most of their members are average, but there is a huge gap between them and the rest of the players on era.

i was one of those average or below players that was on a good gang too (corey's gang). i got in mostly for my sparring and i was active. we did dominate some gang events as well. i can't remember what the gang was called lol... i think the elites or something. it was basically between us and merc every week. we had our fair share of winning streaks, and we usually won gang events when wil didn't play - we won some when he did too. i have 1 mvp coin and i truthfully say that i earned it legit. we didn't help each other get mvp coins. it went to whomever was the last standing in the mvp coin fight (corey won most of the time). lol we did team up on him one time because he kept winning. that is how i won mine. so maybe i didn't win mine 100% legit lol.

oh i was basically saying that era is still catering to the elite. like i said earlier, merc was dominating gang events for like 2 or 3 months in a row at one point. they were spreading the wealth around among their fellow gang members. same thing will happen with mvp weapons and this current gang system. if you are fortunate/good enough to get in the dominating gang, then you will get the goodies. the rest won't get anything. which is why making mvp weapons trade-able would actually benefit non-elites more.

which gang has been dominating gang events since the change?

@^.. Don't blame the players for helping eachother get MVP's... Blame the ET's for not rewarding the real MVP.

They can't really avoid it outside of TDM where there's a true scoreboard.

Any other event they're forced to go to LMS to decide and we would just leave, or 3v1 one guy then leave and **** like that to 'choose' who got MVP.

It got to the point where instead of wasting time we'd just say it and they'd listen.
