Well the plan is that, in the storyline, it becomes apparent that theres some sort of interaction between these two time periods that this evil sect has found, and you have to do a few story-based quests to unlock a portal. From then on it's just kill kill kill until you get far into the base of the sect, then of course you have to destroy its leader and put an end to it. Generic kind of story I know. =(
Most weapons will have "slots". Where you can put enchanted items such as rubies and emeralds which can add effects or power to your weapon. They are all element based (not literal scientific elements of course) based on the old alchemy elements. Earth, Air, Fire, Water. The more based you are on a certain element, the more these enchanted items will effect your weapons. It is in effect, alchemy.
We are always trying to come up with new idea's, so if anyone has any that'd be great. =P
