Because this is alot easier + better + clearer.

Linear is not as clear and perfect as you think. It's much easier to respond to whats going on with hybrid

I use linear, and I can even understand that you don't like that rule. But is it really seriously oppressive? Is it really the most oppressive rule on the forums?

No. But it is probably the only rule we could possible get changes, with the <insert negative word here> for supermods (excluding kamoo).

Linear dudes should abstain from breaking the structure where possible (I do!)
Non-linear dudes should quote the text to which they're replying.

Seems pretty obvious. But good luck if you expect more than a third of the supermod team to do anything about it.

the rebels will not tolerate the oppression of the oppressors anymore. We will not stand idle while certain individuals like falco and moongoddes from the opressors abuse their linear mode to confuse us and make our use of these forums less enjoyable by breaking the tree structure.

Our demands:
A new rule, as follows, must be added:

Is there a reason as to why you could not have done this through forum pm's? I mean it is a legitimet request I suppose, but this thread is rediculous, and I really havent seen any mods complaining about the double/triple posting, I have only seen complaints about the not quoting...I am pretty sure that I always quote unless it is a general statement to everyone in the thread.

You can get your point across without being sarcastic, and biligerant =/
