Exclamation Make player accounts more secure...

I think i posted this in the right place...

Would their be any possible way to make accounts more secure when logging on. I mean hackers hack account passwords left and right for their own pathetic reasons. I was recently banned on N-Pulse and Jailed on Unholy Nations. I play those servers the most and to have someone hack my password and do this is rediculous...Accounts should be more secure in some way such as :

IP and if your on another CPU you would need that password to change your IP to the current IP your connected to..Graal Account and IP changer for the account would have to different passwords to make it more secure. The focus of this thread is'nt ONLY for my reason but this has happened to 2-3 of my friends and alot of other people im sure. And to have hackers get the passwords with ease is rediculous. Especially for a player who only plays 1 server (Yes some do this). So it's basically a waste of their money having to upgrade an account and get it banned where they play the most. Something needs to be done..Changing your password all the time still doesnt fix the problem

These "hackers" don't get your password unless you give it to them. It's hardly Graal's fault, and I don't think sensible people should be put through extra hassle because of it.

Then nobody has your password. It's that simple.

What, through arcane divination? Telegnostic rituals? I'm not saying the victims intentionally give away their passwords. They're just too naive, ignorant and/or stupid to protect themselves.

It's not that simple considering im banned and jailed on 2 servers over only a 3day period. I dont even have "Save password" checked.

I all i want is some improvements in account log-ins if possible. Im sure this can happen. It wouldn't hurt to try..

So if you say it is not the players' fault that their accounts get stolen, are you implying that there is a weakness in Graal's systems?

If that is the case, why do these evil hackers not steal Stefan's account, or mine, or some other admin's, instead of accounts of people no one cares about?

I agree with Kai. It would only increase the work load by people IP locked out of accounts, not what we need. Lots of people dont get their account stolen, and personally I have never had mine taken and there is nothing stopping anyone going on client if they have my password. But I don't signup for fake global staff applications, leave my password in an email in an insecure hotmail account or give it out to spark9ii on AIM!

Graal should make you email validate every different IP you use (atleast if the first 3 numbers are different).

I've never had my account stolen. Don't give your password out to anyone, memorize it, don't log on computers that someone else could use your password from (or scramble it once your done), and if you can't memorize your password, write it down. Don't keep your password on your computer.

Seriously how can people get "haxed" on graal? You'd have to be an idiot to have your password taken.

I was talking to some guy today named Kim Jong IL on GK and he was saying he had like 400 graal accounts

so if someone is able to have 400 accounts either...
a. they are rich or b they are an account stealer.... so yes i think accounts should be more secure.

I have about 8 Graal accounts and none of them has ever been compromised so would it not stand to reason that maybe the problem is not with the Graal accounts but in the security of your own computer? I am no means alone in not ever having my computer compromised. Take steps to ensure your own security of your computer before you try to change Graal's way of securing accounts because that will solve nothing if you still have not taken steps to secure your own computer.
