Anyways, yea I think it would make the most sense for the Dustari religion to be monotheistic, and allow for smaller cult followings which arent nessisarily recognized by the state.

Recently I was actually considering...well, Dustari's based in the Midievil times, but why are we limiting ourselves to the psuedo Anglo/French era? Given the origin of 2k2's gods, mabey something a little more...Celtic is in order.

Back to the real topic, does anyone HAVE any suggestions for the Religion? Should we use a real life one as a foundation, or create something totally original?

Since we are an rp kingdom, we have the freedom to be rather creative, we can invent this religion around the ideals of Dustari, even though we'd be rping as the reverse would be true; that dustari was founded around the ideals of this god.

Since we are a classic fantasy/knighthood type kingdom, valor/justice/etc type values come to mind, but these are somewhat generalized and watered down...I think its worth brainstorming a bit on additional attributes and hone in on what we want to embody from there.

It may be interesting to have a few other accepted dieties as 'lesser gods' that while are not the patron god of dustari, are still within the sphere of respected allies of this god, and therefore accepted in worship. They may not really be 'lesser' but just viewed as such by followers of the patron.

I think if we want to go with a classic fantasy style, a semi-Druidic religious order could be a good way to go, Dustari already has some Gaelic qualities. Or perhaps an amalgamation?
