Well everyone, my time is short so I'll get down to the points.

We (as in just me working my butt off) are going to try to resurrect Dino Valley. So far, there are minor adjustments to the playerworld, but enough to meet the guidelines (online level has been clarified and the stuck holes have been patched). I made many levels and NPCs to give the PW some additional spice. Also, the original owner, Aramech had given up control over the PW therefore it should be "open-source".

Anyway, I'm submitting within 3 days, and of course, we need staff. IF you want to be considered in as staff, please:
E-Mail "[email protected]" with the subject named as: STAFF TRYOUTS and in the body:
1. Name Staff Position.
Two things about this, One, don't name more than one staff position, it makes you sound very unprofessional and like you just want to get a job so you can run around abusing your powers and such. Two, we aren't allowing any GATs, FAQs and GPs right now. Why? We have enough Graphics for now, you haven't even played the server yet, so how can you answer questions and GPs are the best form of abusing staff powers, and we'll need them once we get the core of the game up and running.
2. Name present EXP in the job already.
(Anyone running for LAT or NAT should send in level/s to show me your programming skills.
3. Why do you want to be a (insert job)?
4. How many hours do you think you will be on duty in my server?

And that's all, nothing much, just the regular go-around.

Anyways, good luck with your submission, and hopefully we'll pass inspection and get this server running underway.

Dino Valley was great, but you people need to start letting the past die. Reviving old playerworlds is getting...old.

Indeed. Although, beceides Bravo, i think i was one of the first. :P

Would of been good too if Kronan's external HD didn't crash x.x

But, who knows, Dino Valley may be new and improved, and people may play it again who remembered it (probably not many people are going to remember it).

24 hours and 3 pages already? lol, and half of it is related to the thread... anyway...

i got a couple of things to say:
1. Blakes, can you get me into contact with ChaCha? Of course I need to briefly confirm that she is still around and that she gave you permission and all that. You understand, right? Just so I know I'm not being played.

2. According to the e-mail I recieved from Spark...
Prices:
$59 = 6months online
$99 =12months online

And you need a VIP account for 19 bucks...

I noticed in the E-Mail that you are expecting me to shell out the entire 100 bucks, well, I won't be able to do that when you have a higher authority than me and can kick me out the second I pay for the server, but what I'm willing to do is split the price, I'll get the VIP account (if anyone doesn't have one already) and we get the remaining staff members who want to join in again to split the fee.
So... You know how it works...
2 people: 50 bucks
3 people: 33 bucks
4 people: 25 bucks
5 people: 20 bucks

And you know how that works, since you said your still with Alexyo, the 3 way split would be nice.

Anyway, I'm sick as hell and I won't be able to test the levels out right now, so if we pull this out, we won't see anything until 2K4.

oh, btw, YES i already added some new levels/NPCs and junk, i changed the server NPCs to be alot more convienient too, so we dont end up having some stupid GPs banning someone who should of just been banned.

Sorry for the late response. I will pay for the server so you dont have to worry about it. Please contact me on AIM it is easier for me.

As for kicking you out I can assure you that it would not happen. Anyone that has been involved with me knows that I am a trustworthy person. I have already purchased Nolavario and Zion (They are both managed by someone else). I guess you can say I am more of a 'investor', but for Dino Valley I am willing to put all of my efforts into the project.

Pertaining to the actual project. I already have staff members (most of which are close friends/DV alumni) ready to work. Faenix/Darkblade/Alexyo96/Myself will do the scripting. WanDaMan/Zippy/Ricky/Nick/Mylus will fix up the levels (With Wan there I can assure you this will be done in no time). Any additional GFX can by done by Nick.

Way i see it anyone too lazy to make their own levels
that they have to use old ones, is just that, lazy, and
dont inspire much hope for a decent playerworld.
My opinion anyway.

I doubt you ever played Dino Valley. We have over 1500 or so odd levels that need to all be redone. Every script needs to be replaced and every gfx needs to be replaced. Maybe Doomsday could be brought back in its current state, but as for Dino Valley, it is ancient. We will be doing more work than it would take to just start all over again.

I doubt even now that Doomsday would match up to todays Graal standards, how longs it been now?
Besides, i dont really want to see it come back under someone like Zenko or Tsu.

I don't think server quality has gone up at all when it comes to the public servers.... If everyone held the currently public servers, to as high of standard as they do these new ones... I doubt many would still be online... but people say they are 'classics' and so it's ok for them to be low quality

Okay, this is what I don't get:

1) You want to "revive" Dino Valley.
2) You need to redo 1500 odd levels
3) You need to replace every script
4) You need to replace every graphic
5) It's going to take more work than starting all over again

But wait... you ARE starting all over again. If it's new levels, scripts, and graphics. You're just making a new playerworld and using the Dino Valley name.

You CANNOT revive a playerworld. It will never be like it once was. The playerworld is 50% creative development, and 50% players. The same players aren't all going to play. It's not the same time period. It's not the same development team. Not the same ideas, not the same levels, not the same graphics, not the same scripts...

Wait, explain to me how this is reviving Dino Valley?

I remember playing the old Dino Valley once, the very first level I played on had a strange tree in it, and when I walked into it, I was warped to the jail.

Never played there again.

You guys should not include that in this remake.
