stick to one color and use lighteffects to show hills and stuff, itll look way better trust me

Uhm, it's more for shading, not for "effects", those diffrent colored tiles.

lower the sands saturation and increase the brightness

Sand reflecting a hot days sun yes, dirt, no. :P

Try desaturating the dirt some... it's early Maloria all over again.

The grass seems a little blurry, maybe sharpen it a little?
