Some things we are doing

Our trees are a little different from other trees. We have contructed the trees are actually going to be ganis and not on the tileset or a gif image. These trees are in parts (limbs, leaves, trunk ect..) Once you open the ganis, you can modify them anyway you'd like to give us some origanality so we can customize the tree's so they aren't the same everytime.

Our GUI is going to be pretty simple, with some main things that you need to see on the screen. HP and MP ect... But then we are planning on having a FULL main menu(Like Final Fantasy's) with everything that you'll need to play the server.

We have many other different things that we'll go into detail in time. I just wanted to stat something so you don't think we are just graphics and nothing else.

Oh and for the record:

The rule cant stop you working as a Manager on an offline and online PW. But there will come a day when the offline PW wants to be online, and so, you will have to choose one or the other.

I don't see the big deal with managing two playerworlds, if you can take on that task. I've had many ideas for new playerworlds I'd like to create, but I'm focused mainly on Oasis. Although it shouldn't mean I couldn't do something on the side as well.

It all depends on the person. There really should be no written rule saying you can't do two things at once. It's like saying you can't rub your stomach and pat your head at the same time. Not everyone can, but some can. It's called "multitasking".

Personally it gets pretty boring working on the same thing all the time, when you have new radical ideas in your head. So it's quite hard to stay developing one project. That is why I think it's important that people should be able to work on something else or take breaks from their main project, before it drives them insane. If I worked on my playerworld every day, with all my free time, I would hate doing it, to the point where I just burn out and give up on the project.

Heh, I agree on some points. But managing 2 PWs is still unacceptable.

Actually, you are completely right on all other points. That is the main reason I work on Graal Kingdoms - aside from having a good conversations with friends - it is because there is usually a fun assignment to do. And when I get some more energy, good ideas, or whatever else, I work hard on my PW. (Most of this is a understatement).

Even that, my PW alone for everything I have planned is a massive job. I would never dream of making another PW on the side because it would take away from the quality of Shifting Ages. Frolic has a long way to go (not to be taken offensively - Shifting Ages does as well) so I don't see how you could possibly think about working on another PW when Frolic still needs alot of work.

Everyone is free to work on two servers if they wish but I am loil to Sanstrata and I have not worked on any other server ever. I have had no jobs on any server I have been offered jobs but I never accepted. Ive only worked for sans and I'm pretty sure I'm only gonna work for sans I might work for another server someday I dont know but I do know that I am totally for Sanstrata!

Soulblade... I don't know if you didn't feel like reading what I said before konidias, but he is working on two servers until we go private. It is acceptiable to be managing two servers at once. Expecially when one of them isn't even up yet. Once we go private, knuckles stats he is going to quit one of them. It may require a lot of work for you, but maybe it's a piece of cake for him. This is the last time I am going to ask.. Please stick on topic to Abode.. please, I am not interested in your opinion on if it's right if he can manage two servers.

This is about the world. No manager should work on more then one server..would you like to know what it tells me, and possibly others?

I just find it so funny how the most unable people get the most staff, then people that do a ton of work get the least. Maybe I should use knuckles technique, because mine of doing all the work sure does not attract people...but anyway we'll see.

I agree, Knuckles shouldn't work on two worlds at once. But meh, they can do what they want unless a PWA butts in.

And how exactly do you know knuckles makes everyone else do the work?
and really you or anyone else has no say over what he can and can't do offline. If he wants to build a server offline let him it's not affecting you any way is it?
And until you go on Frolic and see absolutely no updates you have no reason to complain.

From what i've seen knuckles has been working on Abode and Frolic and Frolic's player count seems to be going up recently so he must be doing something right so just stop complaining and worry about your own pw.

My two cents:

Why not contribute all this effort to the existing playerworld? I mean, not only could you help nurture something you already have, but you could also apply all this new stuff to what you have, potentially improving your existing world. It would be better than dividing your focus amongst two things.

Knuckles is not making everyone else do all the work on Frolic. Knuckles does nearly all the scripting there. Tangy does some scripts when he is on also. Criminal X and gHost01 does the levels. There's some gani and gfx people there also but I forgot their names.
The work is pretty much even among all the staff on Frolic.

....I do, do all the work for Frolic. Well, most of it. Crim and ghost help make levels. I make some too. Like yesterday... I went on, rescripted almost every job and event to be hacker-protected. Almost everything on FROLIC is scripted by me. I reshaped a couple islands (Had LAT's fill them in), added some shop's, fixed some shops, added some NPC's, started working on about 3 diffrent systems, graded GP test, and I've been working on 3 new quests (I just have to wait for my GFX guy to finish the boss GFX so I can script them), and I don't know what the heck your talking about. I mean, I hate having other people do ANY work for me, 'cause the way I picture things, never comes out the way I want it to -- if someone else does it. Hence, I do it on my own.

And by doin' this, I still do have more idea's that can't be used on Frolic and time to use... And like Konidias said. It's good to be devoted to a server, but workin' on it to much will devour your brain =p. Sometimes I get bored of working on Frolic, so I make some levels on the side for fun, or script, or help people, or just hang out... I'm sure most of you guys do the same. What's the diffrence between putting them AND the idea's towards another server, instead of just letting those things float off?

Alright, well quit honestly no one on the Abode or Frolic staff seem to have a problem with it, nor do we care what any of your guyses opinion is on the matter. We posted to hear your comments on our server... I'm sure if you were going to critisize that knuckles shouldn't be working on two servers, we wouldn't have posted until we were private and he was working on one server alone.

Please stop positing about knuckles as it is getting extremely off-topic. I've asked you a million times to stop.

Do not reply to what I am saying or anyone elses points. Reply to what you think about the server and how it looks as of now.

This right here epitomizes my stance on PW development But I usually go off and play other games like Vice City or whatever rather than start a new graal project.
