Maybe not, some people may be only able to affor an account once a year? Anyhow, no need talking about this until specific details are revealed.

Graal 3.0 (C++ version) has been in the works for a bit. He's been testing it, and from all indications I have gotten, it seems as though it will be ready shortly, but don't quote me on that.
I know that Linux and Mac will have support for RC and Graal, as he was testing the MACGraal one day I believe and said it was working.

Yeah VIPs were given a date. Although problems came up, so it was delayed a bit.

has ANYTHING been on time when they give a date?
=X
the closest i have seen was the guild management, when they said March 1st (i think), because they were only 1 day late that time
=x
yet again, they STILL haven't added the edit member info section.... but lets not get into that here

Now if we were really very important people, we would get updated estimates once the previously mentioned dates were passed.

But the true VIP's are those who work with stefan on debug from what I hear. They are the one's getting the choice info.

Perhaps I should try out? What are the qualifications?

x-x We don't get anything special. We get what we need to do the job, and we make it fun and discuss various topics some times. Stefan sometimes gives a little info on stuff he is working on so people won't PM him constantly...but thats it.

Qualifications? Just be skilled at something...useful to the crew heh.

but EW passed the PWA... it's just waiting on Nemesis, or Stefan... not sure which...

so the hireing of a PWA shouldn't effect EW... besides it giving Nem more time to look over the server i guess

Blah, I don't like this at all, playerworlds should be kept up by Graal, and run by the players, they're supposed to be our worlds that be update and stuff...oh well.

I hope that it will be something like 10 dollars a month, however I doubt that will happen. I hope it's no more than 20 dollars a month, because more is really expensive, I don't see how we are going to possibly pay for this. There are a lot of playerworlds that should get up but wouldn't if it were to be too expensive...just keep that in mind.

________________________________

But, my main question is that will playerworlds still have to pass the same kinds of qualifications as the current ones? Will the standard for the required quality of the levels, scripting, and quality over-all of the applying playerworlds be less than previously? I think that would be really bad...playerworlds will still have to be just as good right?

_________________________________

Also, I personally don't think it would be fair for current playerworlds to not have to pay...although maybe it would because I wouldn't like to see them taken down .....well most of them ....

Unix knows that alot of people will be teenagers who buy/rent a server for graalonline PW purposes, and so, wont set an unreasonable price.

Nope. As far as I know you can go up with nothing at all. BUT here’s the thing. To become visible on the main list you have to pass tests. And continue to have tests to stay on the list else you will be made invisible and private again. But if you pass through tests first thing, it will be cheaper as a monthly fee. And you will receive benefits.

Online PWs, may receive a period of time online for free. As they are already up and didn't know about it until recently. The reason for this is offline PWs may choose to stop now as they don’t want to pay. But online PWs are given this free time to sort things out and decide what to do. After that time, they will be expected to pay like the others.

Well that’s what I think anyway, it will become clearer when Unix publishes he plans to everyone.

Thats changed abit now. The top PWs with high playercount COULD end up paying all of the time. I doubt that would happen, but it could easily happen if what he said to me is being put into place.

It means exactly what it means. Your actions don't have a significant effect on GraalOnline's income, so you shouldn't be excluded from having to pay. You get more from the deal than Stefan does.

And what would Stefan do without Managers...run all the PW's himself?

Probably take most of them down, and lose very little in the process. Or heck, he could leave them up. It's not like most playerworlds benefit from management - how many updates have there been on N-Pulse recently? Did they really improve the gameplay at all?

Screw you Kai....dont assume to even know anything about a PW that you have been on maybe once in the lifespan of Graal.
You know full well that it is difficult to find good staff now, and I am in the process of changing all the gif's on the levels to png/mng's before I move on to something else.
they dont benefit from Management?
You know nothing about this.....
You and your stupid little know it all comments piss me off to no end....you know absolutely nothing about Npulse or the way it is run.

I didn't presume to know everything about it. That's why I asked you the questions.

Yes. So? I'm not blaming you, I'm just stating the facts.

I don't think Stefan would "lose very little" if he closed all the playerworlds. A lot of people just play 1 pw. I started playing Graal on N-Pulse, and I hated everything else. If it was closed, I would have stopped playing. I don't know how many other people would do the same, but closing a PW -> large possibility of losing the people who play that PW. Yes, they might just go onto another one, but they would feel bad that they lost everything they worked for & that they would have to go learn the ways of another PW.

If it was closed, I would have stopped playing. I don't know how many other people would do the same, but closing a PW -> large possibility of losing the people who play that PW. Yes, they might just go onto another one, but they would feel bad that they lost everything they worked for & that they would have to go learn the ways of another PW.
If all the PW's were closed down, alot of people wouldnt play, because alot of people dont like the roleplaying and stuff of the gold servers

*shrugs*

I already gave one alternative. I'll give another: Appoint somebody who doesn't mind about paying to manage the world. Somebody who realises that they get far more out of the deal than Graal does.

You know, I really dont care about the money all that much, I care about Graal more....but I get irritated spending all this money and not being able to get simple answers when I need them in order to run the PW...I sent Stefan a forum PM about a month or more ago, he never answers them, even though I send very few of them, and they are always important...there are alot of ways to compensate the Managers for their work without actually paying them, even if it is simply saying "Thank you" or doing little things for them once in awhile...right now it is very frustrating trying to find good staff, and trying to figure out how to fix certain problems because I cant get ahold of stefan, and I asked on the forums, no-one knew.
Managers get far more than Graal does? Maybe in some ways. Whether you want to admit it or not, these PW's are bringing money in for Graal, some more than others, but they are bringing it in.
If they were shut down, Graal would lose alot of money.

sue me if sometimes I think Managers are taken advantage of and not appreciated

You haven't yet answered my question, but no matter.

The reality is that a management position isn't really work. To most people it's a desirable position of power and status, like a trophy of sorts. Yes, playerworlds bring something to Graal. They provide places where cheapskate players can spend their time, but they don't need managers to do that.
