But as it has been noticed by a few others in old and deleted threads:

Kai often falls into arguments. And when he is doing this he will not close a thread or MOD it, this is a bad thing, as we cant have people getting into arguments and not doing their job because of them.

He does moderate it, and if someone says something against the rules he will fix it. Kai is the most professional person you could get for this kind of job. He may argue, however he does a great job of moderating.

Maybe so but he also breaks the rules when it suits his fancy or his aims at the time. That again is not a good thing.

Well still, I can think of no one better or with the experience Kaimetsu has to better qualify for the position. He may have a few flaws but he is the least corrupt person there is to be an admin. In my opinion

Kai has the potential of being a decent Admin but right now he needs to work on his attitude of being "better" then all the rest here on the Forums. To him and he said this

You people don't exactly know the real Kaimetsu. I don't care if you think he's all cute and cuddly but he is totally machiavellian, condscending and rude in the moderators sandbox, and he'll do whatever it takes to belittle someone. I have the humility to admit I am also far from perfect and in fact I have also acted immature but at least I have apologized for my actions (this was in the sandbox). Kai will never apologize, it's just the way he is.

Kai was speaking more or less the truth in that quote. He IS intellectually superior to the average Graalian. Doesn't mean he can kill you or ban you or anything for it. Well, to be fair, MG, you are quite a bit brighter than most Graalians, but you aren't in the top 5%.

Second off:

Is it legal to quote threads in the sandbox? That seems like a breach of confidentiality.

The issue is not who is brighter than who on the Forums, it should be the desire of at least all the Mods here to help not only the players but each other, something Kai many times is not willing to do. I am not saying Kai is a bad person, but because of his animosity to people who are on the opposite side of a debate with him is what I have a problem with. He could do much here but needs to learn humility and not be so arrogant. Anyone stating "well this is the way I am " is ignoring their own short comings and we ALL have then but in our daily lives we all should be trying to over come them and make ourselves a better person for it. As far as what I posted about Kai from the Sandbox, it is nothing he hasn't already said in the open Forum and I don't see him as a person who wants to hide something he said, Kai may be many things but a person who does not stand behind what he says I don't believe is one of them. And Kai it's not that I don't think your never wrong because I do, it is you who believe you are never wrong. What I posted is not a breach of anything because it is not anything personal or confidential about Kai that he hasn't already demonstrated in these Forums.

I was not posting a complaint, read my post again. The issue was brought up about Kai being a Forum Admin and I posted my OPINION on it and gave an example to backup what I said. Now if this post makes him look bad then should he not have said it in the first place? The rules apply in the Sandbox as well as here in the open Forum, there ARE NO different rules for us there than here and none of us is above them, including myself. If you think this is "bashing Kai" then certainly what he said is considered bashing me, is it not? Then we are both wrong is what you are saying. Like I said this was not a complaint on Kai merely an observation on my part of how he is. To be an Admin here then ALL sides of a person must be considered not just a side he wants all to see here. It is more than just doing their job here but how someone does it. Does this person follow the rules or do they debate "grey areas’? Do they get along with all with no exception? A Good Admin needs a lot of tolerance of others to be able to do his job well, even if they disagree strongly with them. Are they diplomatic with their dealings or are they harsh with those they don't like? Its things like this that need to be considered as well, not just things like a banning or editing threads and the like.

where to start... Moon God, what he posted in the 'sandbox' was ment to be viewed by other moderators ONLY, am i correct? because otherwise they would let everyone see it, and not restrict access...

it is the same with RC, right? someone might say something on RC, and it is only ment to be shown to the people who have access to it, and not posted on the forums (i know you argued strongly against the posting of logs, and such)

so, what Kai said was ment to be for a closed audience, and you seem just fine with showing it to the public... taking something he ment to be said only to those with access, and showing everyone.

True, he did say it, but does that mean i can post some e-mail you sent me 7 or 8 months back, and it would be just fine, just because you said it, and it was a direct quote, and if you didn't want it shown to the public, then you shouldn't have said it?

actually, i don't think the e-mail would make sence, because it would be full of **** due to the cencers on the forums -_-

don't be a hypocrit, if you say something that is said to a contained audience should be kept that way in 1 case, then don't change your story when it involves someone else.

I find it interesting how defensive people are being because it makes him look bad...of course it makes him look bad, just like it would make us look bad if one of us said it, then you would be saying "omg, they need to be banned!"

Now, as for the email...dont even bring that up...it wasnt done on graal (until you sent it to people on graal), it wasnt done on the forums (until you posted it on several forums), therefore it isnt graal related

MG posted a quote of something that Kai said in the moderator's forum out in the public... what he said was ment to be in there, and not out here. MG must feel that it is ok to take a private message, and post it for the public to see...

yet i know this is not the case due to past instances...

i just do not understand why he thinks that it is not ok for me to post something he said to me about graal privately, whereas, he feels it's perfectly fine to post something Kai said privately, and post it here...

plus moonie, the forums that i posted it in, were not official graal forums, or forums for any server... they were a private forums, whereas these are the official graal forums, and Mg seems to think it's ok to post something someone said privately, as long as it's a direct quote, because that person said it, and it is their fault for saying it, right?

ETD, the message you speak of that moon god posted is from the graal forums, and posted on the graal forums...how are we suppose to know it isnt allowed when Kai argues that he sees nothing wrong with it...RC logs are meant to be private, and he basically said he didnt see anything wrong with posting RC logs...so how is the mod forum different?

I never said that...but a moderator cant be going around insulting people...banning, unbanning, and hiring is not all there is to being an admin

he posted before that he didn't think MG should have copied something he said in there, to make him look bad... Kai never gave permission... and my point was that MG said "Now if this post makes him look bad then should he not have said it in the first place" and i just thought that maybe he should live by his own rules

I agree with Googi...How are Kaimetsu's actions in the private forums even remotely related to his ability as an administrator? What he's said to someone in the past should be completely irrelevent. I personally think he'd make a damned fine admin because he is so objective. If you have problems n'stuff, he DOES listen to you and then makes a fair judgement from my experiences with him. We've not also agreed with everything, and I admit to taking pot shots at him from time to time (I appologize for this), but he really is the best man for the admin job.
