I cannot ignore people on RC, I cannot ban people, I cannot work if some random person PMs me all the time.

In my opinion, the fact that prepared weapons cannot be prepared further and can hardly be sold/transferred due to the name restriction is a good thing. It supposedly makes people think before they make their weapon a uber thing.
But obviously, most people do not think before doing so, and then they run to staff and complain. I am definately not going to support mindless preparers. Sorry.
Perhaps in the future, an item like a scroll can be added that removes all blessings and preparations from a weapon. But that is beyond my power.

Just for the record, you have been restored by now. So stop complaining and have fun again, but listen to me when I say "no" next time.

Sigh. This is a stupid situation; admins get pestered all the time, it's normal. To be so childish as to reset his account is completely inexcusable. I have no idea why Loriel wasn't permanently banned from all staff positions a long time ago - it's not as if he has any actual talents.

I would say resetting him was a little extreme, but Loriel gave him a chance. Two in fact

He gave him the warning about the reset, he still pmed.
He said if he stopped pming him, he would restore him later. He kept PMing him. So I'd say it's six to one and half a dozen to the other.

Harrassment has its penalties.

When an admin has set his nick to DND, that stands for "do not disturb." If you receive a PM when requesting not to be disturbed there's always the chance it's important, so you are obligated to check.....slowing down other business. When warned to cease an activity, it is prudent to do so.

I have to agree that Loriel went too far by reseting your account but you also had no right to constantly PM him about restoring your weapon which shouldn't be allowed.
You prepared it so you have to live with it.
Not just when you want to sell it go annoying an admin to reset it.
Loriel was right in not restoring your weapon but wrong in reseting you.

Staffs like me or Loriel get lots of PM's, to hold Events or such ****.
Its not our Problem if you need a Weapon resetted or want a Event hold. I for example, I host Events when I think its right to.
But lots of People say: MAKE EVENT! MAKE EVENT! when iam not able to hold one.
So we try to do our Job and we are no Slaves!!!

Hmm. I'm neutral in this. ArchonX (Account, I forget his nick ;x) is pretty stupid for PMing someone with the name "DND" and kept going after he yelled. Loriel is my friend, he's good and all, but the reseting was a little extreme. If he deleted the backups, :o.

I'm sure Loriel is smart enough to actually open the PMs his RC gets incase one of them happens to be important.
Not all PMs admins get are to bug them or ask them for things.
Some actually are important so it's best to at least skim read them.

I do this to stefan, mabey not as extreme, but I do bug him. He just ignores it until I start singing and he tells me off or something.

He doesn't reset me.

But Loriel, your not on there to work, your on debug to work. You got your RC on the main server to help the players, fix accounts, hold events, add event prizes. And i'm not sure, but even uploading things. I don't really think uploading requires that much effort, does it?

As for right or not right? It wasn't corrupt or illegal, it was over the top, and esialy fixed. Theres no reason why he shoudn't of done it.

The punishment in itself is worse then a banning, you're online, but with nothing and not able to do anything, as with a banning you just cant get online.

Now he can get restored esialy.

It was not illegal to do this with the account backups

Loriel was doing his job, and its hard enough withought an extreemly anoying guy like Jin begging for stupid stuff all the time.

It depends if you're trying to get something just right, or fixing a script in a level, or variables in the script. Uploading can just be zip and done, but other times it can be a very very tedious task.

An abuse of power is resetting him and never restoring him.

It was a harsh punishment, but I dont think you're seeing how esialy it can be undone, thats the whole reson he would do it. If the resotring was not posible as esialy as it is, I doubt he would of done it.

He was here long before you kai, he has experance, something that most administrators dont have a chance to get unless they are around for a long time. He's a developer and an administrator thats qualified, if not overqualifed for most tasks on graal servers.

He used to manage graal2001.

He does mild graphics, he can script fairly well. He can make levels good.

He has the knolege of administrating and graals ethics, as well as the ablity to work effenciently and fast on rc because of his experance.

But yes, not alot of people see what he can do lately because of 2k2s obscure way of development and addition.

It doesn't matter. Wiping accounts and taunting players is not something that admins should be doing, regardless of the provocation.
