As for the playerworlds, they're making HIM money. So people are still going to pay for them. He's killing two birds with one stone now.

Personally, I'm all for a smaller community. It will make people more friendly towards each other which in-turn may make Graal more attractive to new players.

You should also be thankful that he isn't charging higher prices. So what if it used to be free? It would be impossible for Graal to survive as a free product for ever even with the numerous and massive improvements its recieved within the past 2 years. So if I were you, I'd shut my piehole and enjoy what new things are coming this way. Even I want to see Graal grab some mainstream attention. It has the chance to draw in talented people that can help not just me with my PW, but everyone else as well. I want to be able to have a good playerworld to compete against in many different areas.

I'm tired of this banter about "...used to be free." If you don't like it, tough! But good luck finding something similar that is free and can still offer the same opportunities as Graal does. Unixmad's statement might've been a bit brash, but he's probably a lot more savvy in his field than you or I are

News from the Development team sounds very leet. I only wish it got news from the 2K1 Development team aswell .

I doubt they'd force you to BETA test the 3D stuff. Its probably more of an option that I will do my best to accept. I think what unixmad meant was that you'll need the VIP account to be granted permission to develop a playerworld with the 3D engine. If that's the case, he gets my $20. But I'm not going to jump the gun that early. I still want to see what exactly is coming out or up before I start working on a true 3D world for Doragon Koden.

In the future I'll be looking to buy a PW. I think it would be great to be able to develop a server online, instead of making it online. I never had the time to really make a PW, but this should give me the opportunity. Although I think this should happen:

You pay for a Development Server, and when your done, you must pass PW Review. And if you do, your payment is waived. Of course I think the qualifications for what PW's need should be upped. I think this is a fair way to do it.

I could agree with that. It would cut down on the crap that we have. Like I had already said, this PW renting thing may cause the quality to go up.

Yep, check the site. And getting it now? I'd probably agree. Might be a bit too soon, but I hope we'll be informed as to when the 3D testing stuff begins. That will be when I sign up or try to at least.

Btw, does anyone remember how many raw polys the N64 could generate? I was thinking its less than 200,000 but I'm not sure.

Why does everyone think they have to pay for two different things? The VIP thing states you either need to be a Gold subscriber or have the Classic membership which is permanent after paying for the Gold membership. All you need to do is pay the $19 for the VIP and you get the forum access if that is what you want. If you don't care about the forums and want the Gold server access then pay the money for that. You aren't being forced to pay an extra $19 if you don't want to. Only if you want those extras will you be required to pay.

Okay a few questions.
Say you have 6 months left on your gold account.
You buy this VIP membership thing.
Will the account be able to tell that you have 1.5 years left on fourms and that you have 6 months of full gold servers, then 6 months of gold servers on Saturdays?

Also the renting of a server is good as long as it isn't too expensive.
It will give more people the opertunity to learn to script better and it will also encourage server staff to make their player world high quality so that they are paying for space that is used and not only so one or two people sit on it.

I might get VIP, mostly because my PW job demands it, and also about the payment thing, I hope the servers that pay to get up will still have to pass some primary test before it gets online. We don't want Mr. Rich Guy paying x dollars to put online his 3 level crappy playerworlds.

Edit: It seems as if, us, all gold players, are going to be ripped off. We will now only get access to all gold servers on saturdays, so if you want to play kingdoms, get VIP

I might as well quit graal x.x This is really dumb, you have to pay 40$ only to play 1 day out of 7. Little Advice, this is going to make all the people who dont get a lot of money to quit graal, and thats like 75% of it
