HUD = Heads Up Display

I would have to agree with Kaimetsu on this one.. There isn't really and "user interface" about it.. it would be cool however if someone made some way to "interface" with the display, such as pressing tab and it switches between the display controls and the game controls and you could change stuff on the display.
