10-15% of the sale would be better imo and limit the time you can rent one to 24 hours

So you're saying you'd rather pay $150k, rather than 30k for a week? Interesting.

24 hours is too short.
The longer items can be posted for the more chance that multiple of the same item will be for sale at the same time which drives price competition.

$30,000+ for 7 days is way too expensivo though, and would make it not worth while to sell a whole bunch of mid-tier items that people are still just going to stand around massing for.

Good point, I was thinking of doing something along the lines of the more hours/days you go, the cheaper it is. Plus I think taxing each item would be awful, no one would use the mall if they knew they were going to lose $150k on a 1mil sale. Tk would rage so hard.

1mil items are probably such an exclusive market (i.e. everyone knows who has these items an any time) that those players wouldn't need to rely on the mall anyway.
If somebody wanted to buy his gun they'd contact him about it without him even having to offer it for sale. They're also very unlikely to sold in a pure cash transaction and more likely to be traded.

The mall will likely be used by people trying to sell mid-tier upgrade items. That is, items that they've just replaced with something better and don't use anymore but are still worth enough to sell. eg. M4, PPSH, Deagles, MP40, etc. Which are the most likely to be sold in pure cash transactions.
Items which would benefit from only being charged 10% of sale rather than 30k for the week.

Start off with 200$ per hours
Then go to like 3k per days
Up to 15k per weeks
50k for a month (you did say on the unofficial forums you were gonna do a month max?)

Then people in each sect of era society can get it what they desire. And buying in bulk time saves you money.
Something along these lines.

Could always add cheaper or free stands section/room that people can rent for like 15 minutes at a time that instead charge a tax percentage on sales.

Wow your idea is even stupider, this is bs!! if it only charged a percentage, people would just put stuff in the stalls and when they find a buyer, take it out of the stall and sell it. thus paying no fee. I also would imagine nubs like yourself would disperse your items to multiple accounts and rent all the stands because there is no upfront fee..

If the Mall actually works, unlike it has done in the past so many attempts, then the trade system should be scrapped. It forces people into a secure environment where their items are on display, not just alluded to in a PM/Mass.

What if I want to trade a gun for a gun instead of money for a gun?

Couldn't that be cleared up by allowing an offer box for items (specific or otherwise)?

Example: cbk1994 wants to sell... AP4 (whatever this means)

papajchris decides he wants to trade an item for it, he decides to trade a Neo Rifle (No idea if this is an equal trade)

You'd be prompted about it in some form of GUI from your stand (or whatever makes it simple), You'd read his offer and then have the ability to Accept, Decline or let it stay for the duration of the stand's lifespan.

cbk1994 decides he wants to take the trade, incase of such event that papajchris wants to, let's say offer his Neo Rifle towards another few stands as means to try to get rid of it, it would clear away his offer from any other booth.

Of course this is just a rough idea, feel free to filter and process to Era's needs and such.

It's all about personal preference. If I wanted to take a break from Graal for a week, I can purchase a little mall stand, sell my items and come back at the end of the week and BAM, I just sold five items and I wasn't even online.

It's currently like 130$ per hour, 3k per day.

A full week would run you about 25k... but I personally think it would be easier to just rent 12 hours before you log off for bed/school and sell your stuff like that, only costing ~1.5k and when you're online return to massing.

On maloria it was much easier just to put your items in the trade house and sell it. A lot of people turn off masses so it will expose you're sale to all those people that you initially would have made contact with

You rent something before you use it.

When you grab the stand it lets you set a duration for renting then charges you.
So 'at the start' more or less.

Why would it go to the owner of the item?

If you rent a stand, the money is sent away, *poof*, no one gets it.

Ehh maybe.

After some serious calculations using average prices/stuff.. the maximum you can make mining would be about 16k per hour. That's if you 1 hit every single rock, have flawless lag, don't miss any rocks, and don't stop at all.

Under these perfect circumstances you'd make about $800 in 3 minutes.

Try again, nice mining level though.

Here's a minor improvement, I updated the advertisement board to do something that's actually useful. Just say /mall in game.

Add a sell button and a buy button to that window and scrap the whole mall.
