If there were reasonable means of obtaining the items in these boxes, I could see a reason to disagree but it sounds like GK could really use an EC Sink and an easy way to get ancient items back into circulation again.

But then what would be the new currency?

Diamonds. Which could also be used for buying GK's/EC's.

and items, as always.

I love GK. There's hardly a lack of content. The only problem is a lack of players, and nobody new wants to play, cuz the playercount is too low for them. So, don't be discouraged by the "low" playercount. It's been picking up lately, and you don't exactly need too many players for GK to be fun. I think everyone should give it a shot. (And just for the record, the playercount is sometimes the same as UN when you take the staff RCs {and staff} into account.)

This is cool, btw. Also, I really don't see much of a problem with the GK economy right now. There are some people who have large amounts of EC / diamonds / platinum, but this has come from playing the server for a long time. I don't see an issue with players 'cheating' in events and getting an unfair advantage. (Obviously, the players who are online more often tend to win more, but is this really unfair?)

Platinum is the only legitimate currency. EC and Diamonds (etc.) are just currencies used in place of platinum because the large amounts required to purchase whatever item. They are basically placeholders. (250p = 1d = .2EC) or whatever the current formula for trade is.

I agree that you shouldn't benefit because you hoarded a certain item and it got magically turned into a usable currency. And the EC are already spendable.. there shouldn't be a 'sink' added [or reward] for them crying that they don't like the current selection of items and instead hoarding a placeholder currency.

They especially shouldn't be rewarded when they are able to hoard these said items when the server is virtually dead. That Kale can coordinate events whenever he pleases (2 players on for who-cares, being EA... or order his EMs to 'go host events' during times hes online) and simply buy himself unrestricted EC flows into the economy during down-times of player activity. Leading to single players with-holding staggering amounts of EC.

Knowing this current EC situation; I would change my original opinion because the idea is based more on you [and other hoarders] personally gaining than a new inlet for items.

what other server's EC shop hasn't been updated since 07? either way, people trade in EC's. Not only I have EC's.

It's funny how biased you are, thinking I'd ever abuse that kind of stuff. That's ridiculous, as everyone knows Tig's consequences for abuse are farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr worse than the gain of a few EC.. when I already have 900+

Some people seem to be jealous of other people in the sense that others' have more money and items than them, so they end up seeing things only from their perspective.... And they become conceited wanting things that will benefit them most instead of the general server.

People who have EC will most likely spend (or trade it to others) it all on these boxes, and there won't be an issue with EC-hoarders anymore.

In fact it'll actually put items back into the game and increase the chances of others getting these once-unobtainable items.

just to say I've never seen anyone host with less than 15 people on. so get your facts straight man. even if someone would host with 10 people on. if they can get 5-10 players to play... thats usually the average for an event. it's just been pretty large cause people came back for easter.

It's not like he would Sell them for USD or something... they will more than likely get traded around.

Some people might though... but that's the same with any game... especially ones that have rare one of a kind items.

Err....you're kidding, right?

The only thing to do with EC on Graal Kingdoms is to save them, because there are so many of the items in the Events Shop, in the market right now. Why spend 75 Event Coins on an item when you can get it from a player for less?

I don't know where you got that logic from, i'm not trying to sound rude i'm just trying to put the EC market into perspective for you.

I just have so many ideas.. I honestly play GK around 9 hrs a day. Ideas like adding a single blood ring to the box, that increases trade.. overall, this idea is a HUGE temporary fix to a lot of the servers problems. We can start releasing a lot of new nice dungeons (12-24hr instances) and continue on this path. Would make GK awesome.

A prize map (indicated with the letter P) that's a rare drop like brutal maps, but when you enter it there are several closed off rooms like the haunted houses, every time you finish a room you can move to the next room, on until you reach the last room where you can open a chest (similar to the three chest event) and get a reward of a few diamonds, gems, money or alchemy ingredients.

Just tossing this idea out there.

Sure. I don't have a problem with the idea. It's not the best idea. The pre-enchanted prizes is strange. Just clean items would do. None of the prizes should be alchemy gear either. You can think of other things.

A more realistic 'fix' for the EC shop would just be new prizes.

Not the actual alchemy item like armor and weapons, but maybe some of what is needed to make them? Some hard to locate monster parts or the really base ingredients like mineral oils and such.

Because of a lack of other realistic ideas i'm actually going to support this aslong as it includes "all" the items that are not obtainable by other means, careful consideration needs to be put in to the minimum output per box and also the maximum output per box and should be aimed towards being close to the cost of the box on average.

The big problem would be EC value scaling completely out of control and that should be avoided at ALL costs, if EC value doubles after this is released i would consider it a failure.

And on a slightly unrelated point i would like to see more regulations on events staff regarding the distribution of event coins and documentation of who they are released to as the value of EC's is no longer trivial.
