If you want a weapon pricing system your best bet is to make something that is based on NPC shops. Every time somebody buys a gun from the NPC shop the price goes up by 5%. Every hour it goes back down 1%. Every time somebody sells one to the pawn shop the price goes down 5% and every hour it goes back up 1%.
Eventually the prices will reach an equilibrium which will them become the market value for that item.
Ammo stocks are meant to do something similar at the moment but the ammo stock hasn't been toned down since the playercount dropped so it never sells out. When it does sell out the next time it stocks the price will be a dollar higher. And then if it restocks again before it sells out the price goes a dollar lower. Except ammo also has a set max and a set minimum.
