Only a small problem with that, the rocks have a timer on their respawn. So no matter how hard you try to kill them faster. They will just upset you more because they don't respawn any faster.

If your going to make physical affect rocks, you may as well make earth to dust damage them too.

Right now they spawn much faster than you can mine them solo. In a room with a few minerals I think you'd be fine. We're not talking one hit smashes.

They respawn quite nicely actually, and if someone's phys level is very high, they can always move around the mine, they don't have to stick to one spot

Reviving this thread rather than making a new thread about it. Does anyone not agree with this idea? I know for sure a lot of people would love to mine for profits, but that's not possible with it taking 40 shots at a stone for a CHANCE to gain a single diamond.

Still like this idea. I'm all for variety. I'd like to be able to mine with something else. And heck, people might even want to transmog their picks or tools.

Is it possible to allow you to get more materials from a single rock the higher your agility? It would put that skill to very good use for those that want to make money selling house kits to others or provide supplies for their kingdom.

The different pickaxes sounds great too, it would be like a tribute to bomy moon.

I'm all for more kinds of tools as well. Preferably new ones you can craft by gathering lots and lots of resources so it takes time to earn them.

And yeah, it would be nice if mining at a higher physical level gave you one or two more pieces of iron / stone / nuggets than usual. It works for digging up vegetables, so why not minerals?
(Not proposing that it should work for diamonds, though. For obvious reasons.)

I like the idea of gaining ores as phys level rises. Picks shouldn't be that hard to make.

Here is a few more that can be done also

Water pails- gain double or tripple the water each time you gain get water
Axes- Chop trees down faster
Shovel- either dig up 2 items each time, or more of a chance of getting tree seeds.
Pliers- double or tripple of the said item crafting. only for use with iron.
