There is definitely more uses for the balloon-tech than just ballooning. I know this for a fact The technology is pretty interesting - I'd say it's definitely more about the novelty than the functionality... and really, this is a video game, not a corporate office - I expect novelty.

could use this to make some real jetpacks for zone xD
and maybe cool springy platforms that toss the players up in the air and super jump boots!
