i got the bushes from the damasca tileset..cause they looked so cool...and much better than the default.....I'm kinda working around with my seasons tilesets...trying to make them look nice...I wish I could find a really good gfx person....oh well....

pheh...i only took the silly bush.....not the whole set.....most of their set contained illegal images....i just wanted the bush

Stefan should add support for switching the sprite.png....so that it matchs the tilesets correctly

explain it to me then.....because the throw objects are kept in the sprites.png if you didnt notice. Which means, if you change the sign in your tileset (pics1.png) you need to change the sprite in sprites.png so that it looks right.....

There is nothing in the ganis that define that kind of stuff...i just checked......especially for when the player walks in swamp tile.....graal just detects the tiles the player is on and places the sprite overtop.....samething goes for the carry thing.....all graal does is detect and load images for those kinds of things. There are no commands yet to define alternate sources...if there was, I wouldn't comment on this

sorry....but you missed what i said....the animations do not carry any kind of labels that tell it to put a certain sprite from sprite.png in it.....look at the ganis for bomys.....they do not contain a single sprite from sprites.png.....

how am i confusing? and what is this simple way out? changing default animations does NOTHING other than replace the default animations. As i said before, when the player stands on swamp tile, graal recognizes that and then copies from sprites.png the img(s) for the grass around the player's feet. you cant redefine that in a gani. if that were possible, then i would have done it, but because you cannot do that because 1 gani is used for all walking....no matter what tiles you are on.

I figured I'd give it a shot and scripted it....problem is, it does not change the attribute at all and it immediately throws whatever i am carring as soon as I start moving

yup....i sure did

replaced the 2 animations then sent into a timeout loop that checked what month it was, and then what the player was carrying...

i noticed that a lot of graal relies on animation detection...especially for the sword...if it doesnt use that animation, then it doesnt do damage, unless specified in an npc

nice title screen thingy you've got there I image that Soul Blade realizes that many other servers will mimic that now but in their own special way, well, cept the ones that will just steal script....something like that is not hard to make

Unhappy Kingdom positions need to be filled

Hi. Once again, I am here to interest people in joining my Playerworld and building the kingdoms for the RP atmosphere. I haven't heard anything from Valder as of late, so I might be opening the Wind/Lightening kingdom if I don't get something from him soon.

I really need people to be serious about this as I do not take it very lightly. Instead of posting lots of text that people will not read, just visit my kingdoms page on my site http://home.earthlink.net/~skittles00/dk-Kingdoms/htm

There you will find all that you need for the kingdoms as far as the map with the available locations that may be used for a kingdom.

heh, I am glad that at least someone is taking interest.

Probably as a last resort, I may wind up doing it all myself as I have done everything else up until now. If that is the case, I will have to redo my entire plan and other things and the development of things will be slower, since I'll be having to make the levels and stuff for each kingdom.

Please, I ask that this doesn't happen. This is a good opporotunity for the abundant amount of level designers to do something useful or worthwhile. Just pair yourself up with someone that can do decent NPCs and/or GFX.

By the way, I am also looking for skilled NPC scriptors that are at least somewhat versatile. If you are wanting to help me out as an NPC scriptor, then you will need to send me a sample of your work...however, I know that leaves it open to people lying, but I would trust that people will be honest and not steal another person's work.

Thank you It will look nice once the empty areas have been filled. I have been doing a lot of overworld updates and need to make a new map. I am just waiting for the season to be summer so I can get a good map, unless people want the spring map instead?

Um, excuse me? Who the hell are you? excluding the outer rim of the map, I still have 200+ levels that I have made.

This has nothing to do with level quantity as I have already passed the PW management's testing. My kingdoms idea was originally a fallback for those that got annoyed by the RP stuff on Graal2001 (and still is, sorta).

I have worked long and hard for almost a year now...BY MYSELF. Diverting time to all the kingdoms will only mean that I can't get certain things done like I want to.

At this point in time, there is an over abundance of level designers...mostly because it is the easiest part of making your own stuff for Graal. My kingdoms is a way to give these people a chance to put their skills to use.

Next time, please research what I am doing before you flame me like that.
