For starters, the Role Playing area. For those of you who do not know, this is an area that when you die, you get to go spend 5 minutes in a nice waiting room until you respawn. This is good for RP areas, BUT THOSE ONLY.
I found myself doing the Mt.Antora Quest Dungeon earlier, and soon discovered, to be quite blunt, it's impossible.
Now, before you go telling me "get a sword you ****" or "No its not", or any of that garbage, perhaps you should go try it out for yourselves.
To start out with, the dungeon well over 20 enemies fighting you at once, in nearly every corridor, with more HP that makes them extremely unbalanced. When your using a Sword, its' not to bad, but it is when they surround you, makeing it impossible for you to move, and thus, killing you. With a Bamboo rod, its impossible, pure and simple, it is impossible.
This is extremely unfair, seeing as how its near impossible right now to get a sword without waisting hours pressing D over and over again. This problem can be fixed in one of two ways.
Way 1: Remove the enemies, and only add them sparing. SPARINGLY. To Stefan, and most of the other 2K1 owners, sparing meant add as many baddies as you can in one level. This is not makeing it difficult, this is makeing it impossible. You want to make challenge, you learn how to make it more challenging without adding 30 or so enemies here, 30 there, oh, and 30 here.
Way 2: Remove the RP area crap. No one wants to die, then wait 5 minutes to respawn in Bombora, then go another 5 minutes to get back there, then die again 5 minutes later, and the process repeats. Does that sound fun? No, its annoying.
Way 3: Do both Way 1 and Way 2, doing this makes life alot easier for us, and for you.
Another complaint is, once again, the jobs are boreing and repetitive. I recal you saying that they were going to be quite interesting this time, and not revovle around mashing D over and over. Guess what, they still do. You may want to revise some of the jobs so their atleast fun to do.
Also, the Z-labs need a major make over. not only is there areas where if you go into a dead-end, you cant escape, there are also areas where it is way to dark to see anything, or the exit is near impossible to find.
And yet another, Bommies. Their way to powerful. A bommy can kill a human in 5 hits, while it takes a human packing a sword 10 hits. Not to mention how a Bommy can freeze kill a human by pushing him against a wall. This is unballanced, and needs to be fixed.
Last, and certainly not least, is the inflation. This was a huge problem in the past. For instance, it takes well over 300 G to get all the equipment you need to start a successful mineing job. Yet you can usualy make 1G per 5 or so minutes. 300X5=25 hours to get a decent ammount of money to buy things you need. Does it really sound all that fun to push D over and over for 25 hours?
Tseng, your doing a good job, but your overlooking alot of the things that caused Graal 2K1 to go down the drain in the past, and you should really fix them sometime soon. |
