I am sorry, but when did I ever say to try copying all you games to a different directory just for the fun of it to see if they work or not? I did not even mention the fact that moving game folders from one directory to another will work, did I (besides Graal).
But Kaimetsu thank you for reminding me to announce this.
Every one, I guarantee that any game installed full on your hard drive (no cd need required games) will work prefect if you transfer it to another hard drive or to another computer on your network 100% of the time provided that you are not trying to transfer a game that needs to be run on a 16bit operating system like windows 98 to a 32bit operating system like Xp.
I also guarantee 95% time for cd games provided that the game is compatible with the operating system of the other computer you are transfer to.(that’s only if you are send a game to another computer on the network. And it also depends in how good or how crap the other computer is. It’s just common since really .
If you like to know where I got all this information from, well it’s all from experience
so none of this is bulls***t. I have been using computer sense I was 9 and I am now 18, i have easily over 100 games between legitimate and pirated games. I have work part time in computer stores and even an online travel agency once part time. I transfer game and software over my network all that the time and I never had a problem yet. (My network consists of 4 computers) Even my friends with no computer knowledge are able to install there games and copy the folders and transfer them to my other computer with out any problem so i don’t see where you are get the statistics that 90% of game transferred do not work!!!
I know I am gone off the point slightly, but it all comes down to people using the initiative .
